The Caster had a plan to get all of the souls of the fallen back, and she didn't know how much it was going to take out of her. There had been so many things that Giselle had done with her magic, some things that she wasn't even proud of anymore. Things that she had done for Alaska Minerva in times of need for the people of Obron. At the moment, she was more than willing to use her powers to help those in need, but afterward, it was difficult to accept what she had done.
Because most things that she had done, were against her morals. And her people were nothing if they didn't act upon their morals and how they wanted to present themselves to the other Nine Realms. Casters were people who were called upon to help people in their time of need, and Giselle would still do that. She would still be using her powers to help free the souls of the fallen, but it would be what she was about to do that would change her view on everything.
The blonde fumbled with her fingers as her eyes stared at the spacecraft known as the Milano. Calix had managed to get her hands on the ship in order for them to make it to their destination. Giselle hadn't quite explained it fully to her, but she was going to explain it to the sister of Gamora.
Giselle glanced over her shoulder to Calix, who was busy speaking with Rocket about the mission they were about to go on. That was when the Caster took the opportunity to talk with Nebula about what her plan was going to be. Viola wasn't in sight, so it was going to be a lot easier than it would be with her sister in view.
Nebula's eyes landed on Giselle as the blonde approached her, the woman giving her a small smile; or what seemed like a smile. The two of them stood off to the side as they watched Calix and Rocket for a few seconds before Giselle's eyes turned to Nebula.
"Do you remember the way to Vormir?" Was what Giselle asked her, which made Nebula snap her head to look at the Caster. Nebula glanced back to the other two Guardians, before grabbing onto Giselle and pulling her to the side.
"Is that what your plan is?" Nebula questioned her, not taking her hand off of Giselle's arm. She narrowed her eyes at the woman for a few seconds, before she finally removed her grasp. "Giselle, we can't go to Vormir. You know exactly what has happened at Vormir and you know what will be asked of you if we return there."
"I know what's going to happen and what's going to be asked of me, Nebula," Giselle replied to her as she tilted her head to the side. "But if this could be enough to get my hands on the Soul Stone in order to actually be able to retrieve everyone we lost, then this is worth it."
"And what are you going to give up, hmm?" Nebula snapped at her, her eyes still narrowed at her. "Hmm? You do know that you need to give something up in order to get your hands on the Stone."
"I know that, and I have a plan," Giselle replied to her with a small smile. "Trust me."
Nebula watched as Giselle made her way over to the Milano, giving Rocket, Viola, and Calix a nod as she boarded. The Caster strapped herself into her place as she sat in the spaceship, waiting for the others to join her. First, Rocket was the one to board the ship, making his way over toward the spot where he usually perched himself. Calix and Viola were both next, both of the finding themselves sitting near Rocket. Nebula was last, putting herself in the pilot's seat and firing up the Milano.
Nebula didn't glance back at the Caster who was about to send them on a mission, that none of them were going to be prepared for. Viola glanced back at her sister to see her staring down at her hands, playing around with her thumbs in her lap. The Caster stared at her sister and wondered what it was that was bothering her. Where was she taking them? Where were they going? What was the true meaning behind the mission that they were about to be one?
Calix and Rocket both glanced over their shoulders to look at the Caster, thinking that it was awfully strange that she wasn't talking. That she was sitting there quietly and letting the silence consume the Milano. Calix was the only one to stand up from her spot as the Milano was taking off, approaching Giselle as she sat by herself.
"Elle, are you okay?" Calix questioned her as she knelt down in front of the Caster. The Caster stared at the alien who had done everything to ensure her safety. She didn't want to lie to Calix and say that everything was fine. To say that she wasn't about to do what she was going to do, but she knew that it would hurt Calix. It would hurt all of them.
"Yeah, everything's fine," Giselle assured her, and, for a second, Calix tilted her head to the side as she stared up at her. The two women remained there for a few moments before Calix nodded her head. She stood up and pressed a kiss to Giselle's forehead, before returning to her seat.
Giselle watched after Calix, watching as she sat down in her chair. All she could think about as she watched Calix walk away, was the fact that Peter was gone and he wasn't going to be there unless Giselle did what she was going to do. Calix needed Peter with her when their child was born. Calix was strong, but she wouldn't be strong enough for herself and the child.
A sigh left her lips as she glanced down to her hands again, the only thought on her mind being of their destination.

・゜゜・．𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘'𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅𝐅 𝐓𝐎 𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐑! I have something heartbreaking planned for next chapter, and the only person who knows what's about to go down is the lovely spiderlad :) Originally, what I had planned was going to be for a plot that I was going to put in my plot shop, but then I figured out that I could add it into this story and it was going to be one hell of a twist. It's going to be very emotional, and that is why the next two chapters are going to solely be based around the Guardians. Because it only makes sense to be around the Guardians.
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! Let me know what you thought in the comments! xx
