The Dark World

You were surrounded by a never-ending void. All around you, you saw nothing but darkness and the entire abyss. You didn't know what to make of it. You continued to look around you person as the abyss seemed to only grow. After a few seconds, you suddenly felt ground benefit your feet. You looked down and saw a rocky surface with several purple, red and black crystals lining it. It almost appear that you were in a ravine at some point. You turned around and nothing but a giant cliff surrounded you, directing you forward.

You shrugged and proceeded forward. You walked along the stone surface, seeing the terrain shape and transform as you walked along it.

(Y/N): (Thinking) Am I in some other plain of existence.

With the thought in mind, you were still amazed at seeing the world basically bend to your will. You then got the idea to return to your original spot and see what was behind it. You quickly turned around only to see the wall had followed you. You shoved it to see if it could move. However, the wall began to push forward, forcing you back down the path.

You gave in and follow the desired path. However, the wall kept moving on its own, picking up speed in the process. You began to run off, however the wall followed you. You only stopped running when you reached a large cliff. You looked around the area trying to see if there was a safe jump. However, what stopped you was when you looked up. Upon gazing upward, you saw a massive tower before you.

That didn't stop the wall however, as it shoved you off the cliff. You once again entered the abyss, but quickly reentered the surface. You began to look around the area that you were now in. Large bolts of lighting hit near you and thunder cracked through the sky. You heard the sounds of gunshots and screaming. Instinctively, you ran towards the sounds. You reached back to grab your sword but realized you had nothing there. You checked your waist but you quickly realized your weapon was gone.

You finally reached the source of the screaming. Over looking a large field, you saw a large battle taking place. Countless Grimm, humans, Faunus. All fighting. Death was in the air as several huntsmen, huntresses and just regular citizens fighting off the Grimm. Bombs were being dropped from planes and Nevermores began to tear those planes apart. You heard a familiar shotgun sound and looked back to the battlefield. On the field was Yang, her father, Blake, her parents and several other young huntsmen and huntress students from the academies.

As you look across the field in horror, seeing innocents being torn apart, a hand grabs your shoulder and turns you around. You see Gure standing before you with the rest of your team behind him. You all are wearing black and your weapon is now in your hand.

Gure: (Y/N)? You good boss?

(Y/N): Y-Yeah. I'm fine. Where's Ruby?

Gure: Ruby? She's up in the sniper post where she was ordered. You sure you're ok?

(Y/N): Ordered? Wh-what's happening?

Gure: Uh, final battle. War. Come on. This was your plan.

(Y/N): R-Right.

Silver: (Y/N)? Entrance is on the other side. We can end this now!

You just nodded and agreed to the terms. With that, the four of you took off towards the large tower. Once inside, the four of you silently moved throughout the inner chambers of the tower. Upon reaching one of the upper levels, the four of you set up a position right in front of two massive doors.

(Y/N): Well?

Silver: She's inside. On my mark. Sync?

Burly and Gure: Sync!

Silver: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Y-Yeah. Let's go!

Before the four of you could act, the ground began to rumble a bit. You all turned around and fear grew on your face. Hazel Rainart was before you. He cracked his knuckles and neck and ran towards you.

Burly: Move!

Burly got between Hazel and your team and collided with him head on. Both of them flew through the door and broke it into pieces.

Silver: Take 'em!

The three of you rushed in to join Burly. Gure kicked the back of Hazel's leg, giving Burly the ability to punch him. Silver then attacked the two Beowolves that were along the walls. You jumped over Hazel and rolled across the purple stone table and drew your blade. However, what was before you made fear run through your veins.

Before you was Salem herself with a beaten and bruised Ruby in her grasp. You just stood there in fear and shock as Salem raised her hand and a small beam of energy came from it. Before it could hit you, Gure jumped in the way and it hit him instead. You sat there and watched as Gure's aura didn't save him. The wolf Faunus whom you called friend...just turned to dust. Was disintegrated before your very eyes.

Everyone in the room stopped and looked at the sight. You drew your blade to attack her, but a scorpion tail stopped your progress. You looked over and saw Tyrian was standing before you. In his hand, he held Weiss' leg. She too, bruised and beaten.

Tyrian: Ready to die, young one?

Before Tyrian could act, Silver slammed his axe against Tyrian's wrist blades and entered a fight against the mad man. You were about to attack Salem when, with a motion of her hand, threw you back against the wall. Hazel came before you and rose his fist up to smash your head. However, Burly stopped him and gave Hazel a head butt, knocking the giant back. Quickly afterwards, Burly took out his shotgun and shot Hazel's chin and killed him.

Quickly after Hazel's death, Salem used her magic once again and this time, Burly was vaporized before your eyes. Silver was able to fight through Tyrian and grabbed Weiss. However, Salem used her magic again and destroyed both Silver and Weiss.

Fear continued to regain dominate in your mind as Salem raised her hand and placed it against Ruby's cheek.

Salem: Say goodbye.

Rage grew inside you and you charged forward to attack Salem. However, Salem used her magic on you and launched you back. You opened your eyes to see nothing but a black void once again. However, in front of you was Ruby.

(Y/N): Ruby! Thank, God you're o-

Ruby turned around and horror grew on your face. Her face and body was half Grimm and half her. The your team emerged from the darkness, all the same way.

Ruby: Why couldn't you save me, (Y/N)?

Silver: Why, (Y/N)?

Gure: We trusted you!

Burly: You let us die!

All: Why (Y/N)? Why (Y/N)? Why (Y/N)?

You went to your knees, the pain seeping in. Finally you yelled in agony.

Your eyes shot open and you quickly sat up on your bed, panting. You felt your heart rate increase like crazy. A nightmare for certain. Then you felt two familiar arms around your back.

Ruby: You ok?

(Y/N): Ruby?

You turned around and kissed Ruby. You broke the kiss and began to hug her tightly.

(Y/N): Don't go.

Ruby: (Y/N)? (She breaks the hug and pulls you back down onto the bed) Tell me everything that just happened.
