I get that we all want to be so wealthy that we would make sure our parents or only our mothers can stop working & retire. We just want them to live their lives & enjoy themselves while they are still here.
For my mother, she really wants to go to Hawaii. She talks about it to her friends & frequently speaks of it. She actually thinks she will live there at some point in her life.
She even watches the TV show, "Hawaii 5-0." I don't know if my mother will go to Hawaii. However, I'd rather give her some money, so that she doesn't pay me back at all. I'd rather give her an all expense paid to Hawaii for two weeks. I'd even pay for some of the activities. Of course I'd pay for her hotel stay, drinks, transportation & meals. I'd give her cash if there's other things that she wants to do as well.
