Fix Me, I'm Broken

I spend all Friday morning getting everything ready for the date that I have planned for us.

Last night, I went to 'Baby "R" Us' to buy Tyson and Dyson some cloths and shoes. I bought two car seats for them, a storller with two seats, and a crib big enough for both of them. I also bought them some baby toys and pacifiers.

Last night, they slept with Nikki and I on her bed. Nikki was on one side and I was on the other so we weren't worried about them falling. It was adorable to watch them sleep. Tyson and Dyson held each other's hand while their other hand held onto Nikki's shirt.

Right now it's 1:15 p.m and Nikki is dressing Dyson while I dress Tyson.

Since they are shifters, they grow up a little bit faster than normal so they already know how to walk at 9 months.

Nikki is like a worried mother so when they walk either she has to hold their hand or I do so they won't fall.

We finish dressing the boys in jean shorts and similar shirts but different colors, a pacifier in their mouth.

I had convinced Nikki to wear shorts even though she protested for a whole hour. She finally caved in when I told her that our date was going to be outside and it's hot. She's dressed also in jean shorts and a gray short sleeve shirt that has 'Free' in white letters in the front.

I am dressed in black low hung shorts and a tight plain gray shirt.

We had some trouble but after some time, Nikki was able to get the twins into my car and buckled into their car seats while I distracted everyone.

I just explained to everyone that I am taking Nikki on a date and that we will be home before midnight. After I got the okay from everyone, I dash to my red car.

I enter the car to see Nikki playing with the boys, tickling them. I stared a her in awe. She's wonderful with children.

"You're wonderful with children." I repeat aloud.

She looks at me with a gentle smile, "I took care of Kenny when he was younger. I also used to work at a daycare. I fell in love with children."

"You're going to make a wonderful mother." I say without thinking.

Her smile turns sad, "Let's hope I make it to actually become a mother." She mutters but I still heard her.

I frown and open my mouth to respond but she quickly interrupts me.

"So where are we going?" She wonders as I pull out of the woods and onto the road.

"You'll see when we get there." I wink.

Fifteen minutes later, I park in the parking lot.

Nikki is looking foward at the entrance with wonder.

"Since you said that you liked animals, I thought that this would be a great first date." I say, nervously.

"Thank you for remembering. I've actually never been to a Zoo." She admits.

"That's great! Then I can show you around and tell you all my favorite animals." I beam at her like an over excited child.

She unstraps Dyson while I get Tyson. We set up the stroller that had been folded in the trunk.

I place a cute little hat on both Tyson and Dyson.

"Come on, Boys, don't you want to go in the stroller? It's fun." Nikki says as she trys to put Dyson in the Stroller who is grabbing onto her shirt. Tyson is hanging onto her leg, tightly.

Nikki sighs, "I guess, they can walk as long as we hold hands." Both Tyson and Dyson quickly nod.

I smile and put the stroller back into the trunk.

I grab Tyson's left hand and Nikki grabs Dyson's right hand. Tyson then grabs Dyson's left hand. So Tyson and Dyson are in the middle while Nikki and I are besides them.

After paying for everyone, I grab a map.

"Tyson buddy, pick an animal." I instruct, holding the map of all the animals for him to see.

He's so adorable, the way he closes his eyes and randomly puts his finger to the map.

I look to where he points, "Okay, let's go see the hippopotamus."

We walk to the hippos first then we just randomly walk around.

I point out all of my favorite animals.

Tyson and Dyson are immediately attached to the white tigers. The lions would stare at Nikki and nod as if they knew her.

My smile would widen every time Nikki would laugh. The first time she laughed was because we had arrived at the Zebras when the male started humping the female. Nikki had quickly covered the twin's eyes, but she couldn't stop laughing.

The sun is already going down. We are currently sitting on a bench by a playground while the boys run around.

Nikki's eyes never leaving the boys.

She looks at me after some time, "Thank you for bringing us here. I know that this was suppose to be our date, but I couldn't stand the thought of leaving the boys with somebody. I would be worried."

I smile, "I understand. Besides, I'm happy as long as you're near me. I think today has been great and the date isn't even over yet."

Nikki raises an eyebrow, "Where to next?"

I look at my watch, 6:32 p.m, "Let's grab the boys and we'll go."

"Tyson. Dyson. Boys, we're leaving." Nikki calls to the two excited little boys who are sliding down the slide. They run and cling to Nikki's legs.

We laugh and I pick up Tyson in my arms. Nikki picks up Dyson and puts him on her hip.

"Where are we going?" Nikki asks for the hundredth time since we've gotten in the car.

I think she's opening up. She's not as shy and distant as she was when we first met. I guess she's not scared anymore since she knows that Erick won't be home when she goes home.

Today I wanted to give her a chance to have the childhood that was robbed from her.

"We're here." I announce, parking the car.

Nikki beams, "Really?"

I nod, smiling.

I am currently on my way back from the Zoo. I went with my big sister, lil' brother, and my lil' niece. I find the Zoo exciting!! A new aquarium opened at this Zoo. I got to touch StingRays, so slimy!!! I had a Blast! :)(:
