Annabeth grabbed the bottle of pancake syrup and drizzled it over the blue, chocolate chip pancakes. Percy had gotten sick, and Annabeth had decided to surprise him with Breakfast in Bed on a Saturday, and ever since the first day, Percy had been acting like a sick puppy dog. He loved being babied. Annabeth found it cute, while Sally had gotten sick of it.
It was understandable. Annabeth was Percy's girlfriend. Sally was Percy's mom. It was Annabeth's job to baby him and spoil him... To an extent. He'd been up all the night before, throwing up, so she'd stayed with him.
Her mom had agreed to let her stay with them, so long as Percy and Annabeth didn't have sex. Of course, with Percy sick, she wasn't willing to try anyway. As much as she loved him, she wanted to stay healthy.
She hadn't missed eating since that day, and people were talking about it. Annabeth tried to ignore them and just wash out their negative comments, but it was hard. She smiled and acted unbothered for Percy's sake, but she never felt it any deeper than under the skin.
Percy had noticed, though. Either that or she wasn't as good an actress as she prided herself for being. He'd brought it up. She shrugged and played dumb, but he didn't let it go until she yelled at him.
She hadn't meant to get mad, but he wouldn't stop. She'd felt intensely guilty since... That was why she made him blue chocolate chip pancakes. She wanted to apologize without saying it...
Annabeth walked down to Percy's bedroom, plate in hand. She pushed open the door and smiled. He was still asleep, hugging his pillow like it was a giant teddy bear. She put the plate on the end table and sat on the bed. She brushed hair out of his face, and he moved his arms, releasing the pillow and putting them around her waist, pulling her in. Annabeth giggled.
"I brought you food." She whispered lovingly. "It's blue." She heard him groan. "C' mon, baby."
She leaned down and kissed his head. He held on tighter. "I know you're awake, you faker."
Percy cracks a smile and peeks up at her through his lashes. She smiles down at him. "I'm tired..." He whines.
"Oh, ya big baby." She said teasingly. He whined and sat up. Annabeth smirked at him playfully.
"You're mean..." He pouted. Annabeth giggled and turning onto her hands and knees, leaning in and whispering.
"How nice do you want me to be?" She teasingly pulled on his earlobe with her teeth before pulling back. He glared at her and she laughed.
"The worst part about you doing that is that I already know you won't do anything while I'm sick." He said simply. Annabeth giggled and kissed his cheek.
"I love you, baby."Percy smiled and kissed her. She put her hand on the side of her face and tilted her head to the side.
"I love you so much." She hummed, her forehead against his. He slid his hand into her hair and teasingly nibbled on her bottom lip. She giggled as he slid his hand down to her hip, then up under her shirt. It made her shiver. Annabeth sucked in a breath, smiling as he kissed her. Percy laid back down on his back, pulling her with him. Annabeth giggled and moved to straddle his hips, her hands on the mattress on either side of his head. Percy moved his hands up, pushing her shirt up her torso. Annabeth moaned, breaking away from his lips, grinning. "Do you want something, Seaweed Brain?"
