Episode 2: A Certain Bomb

Author's Note: Hello everyone! Alyssa here and welcome to episode 2 of Bungou Stray Dogs: Take my Hand! This chapter took a very long time to write, and I am so happy to release to all of you guys now. Also quick reminder: Y/N stands for "Your Name", A/N stands for "Ability" and we have a new one: N/N! N/N will be "Your Nickname"! In the anime and manga, Atsushi is often called by his nickname, "weretiger," especially by his enemies like the members of the Port Mafia. Y/N wakes up in a bedroom. "Ngh...urgh" you said as you slowly sat up. "Where am I...?" You didn't know where you were or how you got there. Once you fully sat up Y/N looked around the tatami room. It was a decently sized bedroom, with a kitchen and a small living room.

Then, your memories begin to flood in your head. "...Last night, I..."

You remember your brother, Atsushi, turning into a tiger, and you using A/N. "Its been a while since I last saw a ceiling..." Y/N says, looking up. Suddenly, something begins to ring impatiently. "Wahh! Wh-what?! What is it?!"

Looking about, Y/N sees a cell phone buzzing on the tatami floor. "H-huh? Ahh, okay, okay, I'm coming, I'm coming. Okay, what do I press? Is it this one? C'mon...work...argh..."

Upon finally finding the right button, Y/N holds the phone to your ear.

"Uh....hello?" Y/N says. "Good morning!" Dazai's voice cheers.

"Oh...its you Dazai"

"It's a lovely day today, isn't it? How are you liking your new dormitory?"

"Compared to sleeping outside...this is heavenly."

"I'm glad to hear it. There should be a change of clothes next to your pillow. A gift from everyone at the agency."

"Thank you for doing all of this for me."

"By the way, I hate to spring this on you, but..."

"Hmm?"

"There happens to be an emergency, right now."

"An emergency?"

"That's right, and time is on the essence. Head immediately to the location I specify. This is serious, and you're the only one I can count on. Your brother should be arriving soon as well."

"O-okay...I understand."

Y/N hangs up changes quickly to their work clothes. Y/N wore a white shirt with a tie and long black pants with black shoes. Y/N quickly does their hair and runs out the door. Y/N calls Dazai again.

"Are you ready, Y/N?" Dazai asked.

"Yes." Y/N responded.

"First, exit your room and close the door, the look behind you!"

Y/N closes the door. "Wait...behind me...? What the?!" Y/N turns around to see Dazai, within an oil drum, with his legs sticking out.

"Umm...what am I looking at, exactly?" Y/N asks. "Take a guess." Dazai responds smiling. "Hmm...an early morning mirage...?" Y/N responds.

"Nope!" Dazai cheers. "Are we under an attack?! Or did you get caught in a trap?!" Y/N says, panicking.

"I climbed in here by choice." Dazai says simply. And just like that, Y/N's worry disappeared. "What?" Y/N asked.
