I'm glad I stayed a little bit late
with you and the boys in the
common room. I haven't laughed
that much in a long time.
We were all calmed down after
laughing at something James had said when you asked me if I was spending Christmas at school.
You seem pleased with my answer
and I asked you the same thing,
which you respond that you were in fact, spending it here. I asked the boys the same and they told me they were staying too.
James put his legs up in my lap and laughed, leaning back
❝we're lucky Remus is spending it here this year, he doesn't have to worry about his furry problem until later❞
Remus chocked on his hot chocolate and Peter and you laughed with James.
I furrows my eyebrows but
then my eyes open wide as I turn to Remus.
❝you have a puppy, Remus?❞
I asked excited and the boys and you laughed harder.
Remus seemed rather uncomfortable
but he still smiled at me
❝something like that, my uh-aunt,
she leaves her dog with me every time she travels in Christmas❞
❝that's sweet of you,
what's his name?❞
I asked after looking at you confused, why were you laughing?
❝Paddy❞
Remus told me and your laughter stopped. You narrow your eyes
at Remus but you still had a smile in your face.
❝he is a great dog, that Paddy❞
You said and I smiled.
I love puppies, they are so cute.
❝annoying sometimes though, he bites the hell out of my shoes❞
Remus said and James had laughed, Peter following him.
❝But you still love him❞
you said with Remus rolled his eyes.
I wish every moment of the day
we could stay like that. Being in the common room, laughing without a problem in the world.
Why do we have to grow up?
