"So..." Tyler began as soon as he sat on her bed, "Tell me."

Renee suddenly felt like chickening out. There were absolutely too many reasons this could go tremendously wrong. All those red alerts in her mind were going off like crazy. "O...okay," Renee commenced, not letting the fear hold her down, clearing her throat. "First of all, this is going to sound absolutely insane. And I don't even know if you will believe me."

Tyler huffs out a breath, clearly frustrated by the unnecessary lengthening. "God, Ri, just get on with it," he tells her agitatedly.

Renee took a deep breath, clenching her fists, and once she realized them free, she finally asked the first things that came to her mind, "Do you believe in the supernatural, Ty?"

Tyler blinks at her, a little confused at such an abrupt and unexpected question. "Are you talking about those ghosts in paranormal activities?" He asks in a doubtful tone, unable to point where the conversation was heading at.

Renee shakes her head, her expression severe. "No," she denies. "—Like Vampires, werewolves, and witches?"

Tyler lets out a scoff as if he couldn't believe that was even a question to ask someone. "Of course not."

"Well, they are real," Renee rips off the bandage. Because she didn't know, nor could think of any nice way to put it after that.

Tyler stares at her with an unamused gaze and maybe a little pissed off too. "Renee, if this is some sort of trick to piss me off by taking me away from the party, then you have achieved it with full marks," he says, jumping up to his feet.

"I am serious, Ty," Renee says, her palms coming to grab onto his wrists before he could leave the room. "In fact, we are one of them. We are from a werewolf bloodline," she completes hurriedly, trying to at least catch his interest.

Tyler lets out a fake chuckle at that, barely holding the fury he was feeling at the moment. Renee doesn't know if it was the full moon affecting him or if it's just his everyday teenager brain that's pissed off for missing the chance to drink some beer. She didn't have time to find out as Tyler decides aloud, tugging her hands off his wrists, "Okay, now I am definitely not doing this.

"What if I show you the proof of who we are?" She shouts just as he is about to leave the room. And as expected, that got his attention. He halts in his footsteps and pivots on his heels, unspokenly gesturing her to continue. So she does. "The proof why we have this uncontrollable rage and why we tend to be more agitated on the full moon. Didn't you ever wonder why you look a little more peaceful when you are near me? It's because of the connection we share."
