For the past year, you've been on the road with the Winchester brothers. You had no one after your friend died while on a hunt, vampires. You had no family except your mother who had been in a coma for the past 3 years. You'd visit her whenever you could. Mostly when there was no case. It was near the bunker so it was a short ride in your Plymouth GTX. You'd read her poems by her favorite poet, Robert Frost.

One year and counting, tulips have shown up next to her everytime you visit. You were curious where they came from, they brought you comfort while you read to her. After 2 weeks you finally had a day off so you rushed to the hospital in your GTX. You enter the room 'A boys will' in hand and you see someone there a bouquet of tulips in hand.

"Sam?" You question entering the room. Sam spins around a blush creeping up on his face. "What are you doing here?" You ask.

"To drop this off," He puts down the bouquet. "Sorry I should have told you but I never found the time to tell you and I didn't want to bother you or anything I just-" You cut off his ramble with a big hug a tear streaming down your face.

"It's alright," You sniffle. "Thank you... but why?" You look up at him.

"I'm not sure I just- I felt like I needed to, you know?" He rubs the back of his neck. You hug him again. "I'll get something for you," He walks out of the room and you sit down next to your mother. You start to read to her 'Love and a question'

A Stranger came to the door at eve,
And he spoke the bridegroom fair.
He bore a green-white stick in his hand,
And, for all burden, care.
He asked with the eyes more than the lips
For a shelter for the night,
And he turned and looked at the road afar
Without a window light.

The bridegroom came forth into the porch
With, 'Let us look at the sky,
And question what of the night to be,
Stranger, you and I.'
The Woodbine leaves littered the yard,
The woodbine berries were blue,
Autumn, yes, winter was in the wind;
'Stranger, I wish I knew.'

Within, the bride in the dusk alone
Bent over the open fire,
Her face rose-red with the glowing coal
And the thought of the heart's desire.
The bridegroom looked at the weary road,
Yet saw but her within,
And wished her heart in a case of gold
And pinned with a silver pin.

The bridegroom thought it little to give
A dole of bread, a purse,
A heartfelt prayer for the poor of God,
Or for the rich a curse;
But whether or not a man was asked
To mar the love of two
By harboring woe in the bridal house,
The bridegroom wished he knew.

You held your mother's hand this whole time, not realizing that Sam had returned. He walks over to you and sits next to you. You lay your head on his shoulder and look up into his grey-blue hazel eyes, you look back at your mother and drift off into a sleep in Sam's arms.
