When Bakugou first laid his eyes on you, he knew he would hate you.
He hated you from the start, back in kindergarten.
He remembered the place, the weather, and how you looked like back then....
It was... raining, when young Bakugou saw you.
He remembered the raindrops dripping down, and down, and down. He remembered the droplets slowly forming into small puddles of water, creating little lakes of mud here and there. He remembered all the reckless kids intentionally jumping on them, staining their raincoats and possibly even their uniform underneath.
He was... happy, that time.
Sounds of pitter-patter filled the young boy's ears as he hummed a merry tune to pass the time, awaiting his mother's arrival in order for him to finally go home. He swung his little feet in a rhythmic pattern, similar to his little song.
Today, he finally manifested his quirk. A promising quirk for a promising hero, his parents said. Both were delighted to see such special quirk being owned by their child (they do worry for the safety of people within his vicinity as he grows old, but that is a story for another day). A confident aura suddenly sprung, and he was soon showered with praises.
Not only were his parents proud, but people in his school were as well. he found the praises of other people entering in his ears like sweet, melodic music notes. The images of their smiles earlier today flashed before his eyes, reminding him that his quirk is the reason why their mouths were tugging upward.
His day was going well. His confidence bar was sky high, and he felt like on cloud nine. Nothing could drag him back down to the ground, he thought.
A girl suddenly passed by with a cute little animal keychain bouncing against her little bag.
Bakugou recognized the (f/c) [favorite color] bag and the (h/c) hair. She was his classmate. She looked as happy as a clam, like Bakugou. I wonder why.
She turned around. She recognized him as her classmate and immediately started a rather one-sided conversation. She began moving her mouth in a rapid speed. Huh, strange. It seemed like she was really trying to talk to him, despite the fact they weren't even close to be acquaintances. Bakugou can't seem to remember what she exactly said. Never mind, it doesn't matter to him.
Truthfully speaking, Bakugou didn't understand why you would want to talk to him. People will praise him and go, but you actually stayed to have a full conversation (though it lasted short, nonetheless, it is much longer and admittedly, more meaningful than the others) with him.
With another bright smile, she waved Bakugou goodbye and skipped and pranced her way back to the classroom, crooning a completely different tune than what Bakugou had sang quietly to himself a moment ago. Was there a reason why she was on her way back to the class? Hmm. Doesn't matter. It was none of Bakugou's business after all.
Although, he remembered her vividly from today's event.
(L/n) (Y/n), he believed, is her name.
He remembered her when the others were fawning over his gifted power. She was the only one who actually had stayed for a second or two to take a good look at his quirk before she went back to her little group of friends.
An unsettling feeling rested in Bakugou's heart.
"I'm going to get mine soon, I just know it! Just wait!"
