Elena squatted on the roof making sure she was hidden from the common sight. She was wearing all black revealing only her blue eyes. There was a small scar that was peeking above her right eye—a scar she got thanks to the fall she took years ago. She barely survived that day and only she knew how much thankful she was for that.

There was a set of arrow and bow draped on her back. Multiple sets of daggers were hiding under her clothes. She kept her guard up as she surveyed the busy street ahead of her. She still could not locate her target and there was no sign of Elestren as well. She looked at her watch wondering if something went wrong with Elestren along the way.

Elena and Elestren narrowly escaped the dark sea seven years ago and since then, the two have been travelling from one place to another. It has been two weeks since they came to this small town called Loremnia. This was a human town but was full of mythical beings, each hiding their identities and abiding the laws they were all bounded to.

Living in this place, the two were not safe and the only way they could stay here was to stay hidden and keep their identities a secret. In the day time, the two worked at a small cafe and at night they became assassins killing those who unjustly harmed the innocents. This was a way they thought could atone their sins, the only way they could feel a little less guilty. It didn't matter if they killed human or if they killed anyother mythical being, all they care was to protect their kind.
