A/N: Sometimes, I really hate writing, mainly because when I'm reading other fan fics, here and other places, that are not well written or developed, I get jealous that they have more reads, votes and what-not. But, I love writing because I love to expand on the many stories going on in my mind. More importantly, I love to share them with anyone who cares to read them. I here by swear to continue to write because I love to write, not because I am in it for the fame (though that's nice I suppose). Also, there should be a petiton for Hiddles to bring back the blonde curls because young Hiddleston is my WEAKNESS. Anyways, so after having a wonderful chapter with Loki, we have to go without him again, sorry. It won't be long, I swear. Anyways, we get a bit of Sigyn exploring on her own and bonding with some of our other characters. There are important details, so pay attention...or don't, your choice. Thursday shall leave you all breathless. As always, enjoy!

The maiden awoke with a strange sense that she had not been alone during her long and well-deserved nap. Had someone come in when she was asleep? Sitting up, the green blanket fell off as she slid out of the chair. Stretching, the sunlight was streaming in, but it was fading fast, indicating it was close to dinner. Walking towards the door, she cracked it open and expected to see Skrímsli, but instead it was Hogun that stood before her.

“Oh, Sir Hogun, I did not expect you.”

The quiet warrior smiled, turning away from her and emerging with a plate of food.

“I thought you might be hungry?”

Sigyn nodded, opening the door wider and inviting him in.

“Has something happened to Sir Skrímsli?” Sigyn had grown fond of his quiet and constant company, not that she hated Hogun’s because he was also quiet and calming.

“He left this afternoon in search of more information on the guard that possibly shot you. No one has come forth yet.”

“Oh, I see. Are you not required somewhere else by Thor?”

Hogun shook his head, gesturing for her to take a seat as he poured a cup of tea for each of them. “No my Lady. Thor is on Midgard with the Lady Jane. They are attempting to extract the aether that lives in her system. The Man of Iron and the physician named Banner currently hold her in a chamber that is helping relieve her of the pain.”

The maiden nodded, taking a sip of the tea and a bite of the quail that had been prepared for her. She had heard of these warriors of Midgard before, Thor had spoken greatly of them. She wondered what they were like if they had found such favor in the eyes of the God of Thunder.

“We have found the mare, Vona. She was returned to her stable earlier today.” Hogun said, taking a sip of tea from his cup.

Her head jerked up, the word of her beloved mare, well Loki’s, made her heart leap with joy. The mare had been her only source of freedom, even if she was free within these palace walls. When she was well, she would ride the mare again, and perhaps bring Skrímsli or Hogun with her to the valley where she was wounded; she knew that it had not been a simple accident that she had been struck. The bemused look upon Hogun’s face told her that he was leaving something out.

“Is there something else you wish to tell me?” Sigyn took another bite of her meal, waiting for Hogun to continue.

“It appears that it runs in the family when it comes to this sort of thing.” He mumbled under his breath, taking another sip of his tea.
