"I'm sorry," she said.
"Come again?" I asked.
"I'm sorry," she repeated. "I've been going crazy lately. I lied, and I treated you like dirt. I pushed you away."
I stared at her with disbelief.
"When I saw you with Lauren, Kyle and Richy were right," she said. "I didn't like it. So I came to my senses."
"I really hope that you're not screwing with me right now," I said.
"I'm not," she said softly, slowly walking towards me.
"Riannan," I said.
"What?" she asked.
"Are you sure you're fine?" he asked.
"Dominic, I love you," she said. "That's all that matters to me."
"I love you, too," I said.
I put my arms around her and finally remembered what it felt like to hold her.
"We're gonna have to go through a lot," she said.
"I know," I agreed. "It's not gonna be perfect, but I want to try."
"I do, too," she said. "I do, too."
Things were better. Finally.
Dominic and I were together, much to Kyle and Richy's pleasure. My mom continued her job at the news station. The new apartment was amazing, and the guys were constantly over. It was like their second home.
Everything was working itself out.
