Chapter 8

The small blue hedgehog that, Mephilies and Iblis had said was named Sonic and that he was apparently Shadow's brother, had vanished

" please..." Mephilies looked as if he was going to cry, I side glanced Shadow who held the same expression

Confusion, distrust and awareness

" why all of a sudden do you want us to trust you?! You tried killing us and destroying the world!" I shouted

" we were blinded with rage..." Mephilies sighed

" that's no excuse " Shadow snapped at him

" we know, but please we can give you the answers you want, all of them " Iblis said as tears fell from her eyes

Me and Shadow paused, not knowing what to do

" Silver...I'm sorry I really am, I never should of left for that emerald, that was the day I lost everything...my brother, my sister-in-law, my nephews, my wife and my son..." Mephilies had tears in his snake green eyes, Iblis was looking away

"...fine, but if you try anything, we don't care how long it takes we will find a way to kill you both " Shadow growled

I rapidly woke up on the couch that was on the A.R.K

" Silver, you ok?" Blaze was next to me with a worried expression

" where's Shadow?" I asked, she blinked even more confused

" in the room with the small hedgehog " Blaze stated, I was immediately up on my feet and literally running down the halls

Blaze shouting after me, I reached the room and went in, the small hedgehog...Sonic...was awake and just sitting on the bed with his ears lowered, Shadow was still out

" hey, you ok?" I asked as I slowly walked towards him, he looked up at me

He fiddled with his hands, but I didn't really understand it, I frowned slightly and gave him a confused look, he lowered his ears

" h-hey I'm not mad, I just don't understand what your trying to say " I said as I sat next to him, he backed away slightly

He seemed to bite his lip, he opened his mouth to try and say something, but no sound comes out, I sighed

" what are you doing Silver?" Shadow's voice make us both jump

" I uhh " I didn't know how to respond, before he could say anything Blaze walks in and glared at me, I smiled and laughed nervously

I felt something behind me, I blinked as I looked, it was the small hedgehog, I blinked again, I looked at him confused, why was he-

Oh right, he doesn't know Blaze...I looked back over at Blaze

" is that the hedgehog Tails and you told us about?" Blaze asked, I nodded

" it's ok, she won't hurt you " I heard Shadow say to him, Sonic hesitantly came out from behind me

Blaze looked at Shadow questioningly, but she carefully came over next to me

" hello " Blaze smiled at him softly, his hid behind me again, looking at Blaze, slightly scared

He hesitantly waved at her before completely hiding behind me again, I chuckled slightly, Blaze rose a brow in confusion and was about to question it

" he's a mute...and doesn't remember anything but a few things, not even his name " I sighed, Blaze frowned

" but then what do we-" she was cut off by Shadow

" Maurice..." Shadow had said while staring at the azure hedgehog, whose ears had perked up at the sudden name

I looked at him, so did Blaze, the small hedgehog Sonic or Maurice looked over at Shadow as well

" how do you-" Blaze was again cut off by Shadow

" Mephilies and Iblis..." Shadow answered, before any could say anything a rumble interrupted everyone

The small hedgehog looked confused, he doesn't even remember that means he's hungry...how long exactly was he unconscious?

" come on " Shadow said softly as he came over towards Maurice

It's weird seeing Shadow like this, so...protective

" but there isn't any food on the ARK " I stated

" of course there is " Shadow scoffed slightly as he carefully picked the small hedgehog up

I blinked, so did Blaze, the hedgehog in Shadow's arms tilted his head in confusion, Shadow sighed and walked out the room with me and Blaze following
