There is a little bit of swearing by the bully and hurtful names, so don't read if you don't want that. I censored what I thought necessary.
(Y/N)= your name
(C/N)= crush's name
(BFF/N)= bff's name
(e/c)= eye colour
(h/c)= hair colour
Word count: 664 (sorry, it's really short)
(Y/N) (L/N) walks into 5th-hour gym class with (BFF/N). You immediately look up to search for the distinguishable (h/c) hair in the crowd of other 8th graders (if you're not in 8th grade just try to work with it) in the gymnasium.
"Looking for your boyfriend," (BFF/N) teased. You look at her with your brows furrowed.
"I'm not looking for him, and he's definitely not my boyfriend," you retort.
"Whatever you say," (BFF/N) says, rolling her eyes and shrugging. You glare playfully, then go to stand in your spot in line for attendance. Your spot happens to be directly next to (C/N). You stand awkwardly in between him and a popular girl, who is very obviously crushing on him. This popular girl also happens to hate your guts.
"Ugh, get out of my way, ugly b**ch," the popular girl says, not loud enough for anyone else to hear. You're used to this by now, so you don't react, just back up slightly. "Are you deaf? I said move, slut." That stung slightly, but you didn't do anything.
"Hey, don't be rude," (C/N) says to the popular girl from behind you. Your heart skips a beat and you feel your face turn crimson.
"Oh, I wasn't talking to you, babe," she says to (C/N), putting on her plastic smile on and twirling her hair with her finger. You look at your feet, knowing he would never defend you, especially not against her. You think that with your luck he probably liked her. She's popular, pretty, and actually talks to him. Meanwhile, you have a few friends, and you're very shy around him.
"I know," (C/N) says to her, surprising you. You look up at him, who is looking at her with general annoyance. "You don't have to be so awful to (Y/N) just because you're jealous." At that, he puts his hand on your shoulder. A small smile appears on your face. The teacher had finished taking attendance, so (C/N) puts his hand on your waist, and leads you away from her.
"Are you alright?" (C/N) asks, pulling you aside after your lap around the track. You started blushing for multiple reasons. One, you were embarrassed for being kind of sweaty, two, he was checking on you. You didn't think he actually cared about you. You thought he was just a nice guy, which was still true, but you didn't expect him to pay anymore attention to you after the whole fiasco.
"Yeah, I'm fine," you reply, slightly breathless. You look up from your sneakers into his caring, (e/c) eyes. He smiles. You notice his face is flushed and his cheeks are very pink. That would be expected, you think, we just ran around the track. But you see his ears are red too. Probably just from running, you convince yourself. You smile back, but you figure it seemed to be more of a grimace.
"Are you sure everything's okay?" he questions again. You nod, not looking at him. You feel his fingers touch your chin and tilt your head up to face him. Your eyes widen slightly as he leans forward. He kisses you, his lips barely brushing yours, then steps back smirking. He looks at your stunned face once more before running off to join his group. You blink a few times before you're able to comprehend your surroundings again. You can't help but grin lightly as you walk over to your friends. You shove your hands in your pockets as you begin walking, and you feel something. You remove your hand to reveal a small slip of paper with slightly messy, slanted writing. It showed your name, a phone number, and an invitation to the coffee shop down the road of the school. You were a bit intrigued by that part, but nothing surprised you more than the name that signed it. (C/N) had written his sloppy signature on the bottom of the scrap.
A/N- Yay, It's done! I would love it if y'all would comment and tell me what you think. When I'm trying something new, constructive criticism is always welcome. As long as you're not mean about it. Please, please, please tell me how I did!
Thank you :)

Crush x Reader ImaginesRomance
I'm trying something new! I usually write long stories with many continuing chapters, but this will be a book of a bunch of little short stories. They are all extremely different from each other, so don't think of it as one continuous story. I will...
