a/n: starting off sad let's do this sorry for your tears!!1!1!

————————————————————

I woke up to the sound of tapping against my window. It was soft but frantic. Alright well someone might be trying to kill me. It's about damn time. Life has me stressed so I am in need of some death at the moment. Oh, just Shawn. Way to ruin my vibe.

I open the window and let him inside, hearing his heavy breathes as he steps in. I look him straight in he eye and observe his expression on his face. His eyes are wide, full with panic and fear. His mouth is turned into a frightened frown. What is up with him?

"Y/n. Do not say no and just do whatever I say, okay?" he says to me. Why this bitch acting like he gonna kill me? Shit, is he actually going to kill me. Now I'm scared.

"Okay, babe, but what's up? You're kind of scaring me, whats up with you?" I asked. He coughs, resisting to cough more. He holds it back and begins to speak again.

"Just, please. Nothing is up. Let's go on an adventure. Just you and me. Let's leave this town for the night. Drive off til morning."

"Shawn, what the hell. It's midnight. Do you know what time I have to wake up for-" I stop. His face is showing pain and it looks like he is begging for me to go with him.

"Fine, let me grab my jacket." The things I do for this man. I grab my army green jacket and throw it on over my pajamas, which are an old Stanford t-shirt and some shorts. I slip on my flip-flops and follow Shawn out the window. What has gotten into him? He's so rushed all of a sudden and he is never up at this time.

We hop into his Jeep that's parked right in front of my house. I sit silently as he fumbled with the keys to get he ignition started. He starts the car and we speed off, which takes me by surprise.

"Shawn, please tell me what we are doing," I say to him. His eyes are focused on the road, barely blinking. He seems whiter than usual. Maybe it's the lighting. He looks thin, too. I just saw him devour a freaking pizza the other day, he should look at least well fed. He doesn't respond with an answer, though.

All he says is," Just wait." That's all I get. I remain quiet for the rest of the car ride while Shawn breathes heavily, seeming like he's gasping for air at this point. I turn my attention away from him and to the moon, which is almost full. The stars glow in the black sky, illuminating a path throughout space. I've always wanted to go to space. Sounds dope.

After about an hour of driving, we arrive at a hilltop. It's surrounded by green trees and wildlife. Not that I can see its green, I'm just assuming since it's dark out. I step out and Shawn immediately rushes to me and drags me to the edge. "Sit," he says. I do as he says and sit right next to him. I look at his pale face, which is structured so well. His cheekbones pop out and his jawline is sculpted so well. His eyes are fixated on the view, though, which I haven't looked at yet. The hill overlooks the whole city, lights shining bright, creating an illuminated patch.

"Shawn this is beautiful," I say, absolutely mesmerized.

"Y/n," he turns to me, putting all his attention towards me," I just wanted to tell you that I love you, so, so much. These past few years have ignited something in me that I just can't put out. It's incredible. I've never felt this way before, never. When I met you at my concert, everything around me stopped. I didn't notice anyone else around but you. You were different. I immediately fell, and surprised you gave me a shot. I was so nervous and though that I was a complete fool. My whole life has changed with you and I'm so grateful and appreciative. All our memories constantly rush through my brain and you are something that I will never shake. I love you, Y/n Y/L/N, and I always will. Please remember that," he finishes. By this time, I have tears rushing down my face. My mouth is agape and I can't speak. His stare is completely focused on me, and it's burning me inside out.
