Death of a Bachelor

I was pacing the pews in a church corridor. The lyrics of, I Write Sins Not Tragedies, coming back to me. I smiled, if only I knew back then where my life was headed. All the friends and lovers, I'd gain and lose, Ryan, Spencer, Jon. The fanbase Panic! would garner over the years. It's insane. I'm releasing my 5th album in a few weeks.

I never would have thought that would be possible.

"Hey Brendon!," I turned and saw Dallon leaning against the door frame, "Any last minute outfit change, or anything has to be done right now."

"Right," I followed Dallon back to the front of the church. "Hey man, I know this is a kinda weird request, but could you send Sarah a version of Death of a Bachelor. She hasn't heard the song yet, I wanted to wait until today." Dallon smiled.

"Sure thing," he walked off, leaving me in the front of the church. I walked into the bathroom to check my outfit one more time. Everything seemed all set, my suit was still clean, I ran my fingers through my hair one last time before I walked out. As I walked out I saw Patrick standing there.

"God, there you are. Everyone's here, come on," Patrick grabbed my hand, and pulled me down the hall, until we reached the side door entering into the church. "Ok, now wait here until you see Sarah's mother come down, like we rehearsed then go down and take you seat." Patrick smiled, "Congratulations by the way." He then took off back down the hallway.

I turned my attention towards the door, and cracked it slightly so I could see what was going on. I watched for a few seconds before I saw Sarah's mom come down the aisle. I really did cut it close. She took a seat in the first row, on the left of the aisle. Right next to my parents. I took a deep breath, and ran my fingers through my hair one more time.

I walked out into the main part of the church and took my seat at the front of the alter. I waited impatiently as the rest of the bridal march went on. The groomsmen entered, then the bridesmaids, then the ring bearer, and flower girl, scattering petals from a yellow rose. Sarah's favorite flower.

Then finally Sarah and her father walked in. She was gorgeous, breathtaking. Her dark black hair standing out against the white of her dress. I couldn't help but grin at her. She smiled back.

She then come up to the alter and sat next to me. "I heard the song," she whispered into my ear.

"Did you like it?"

"I loved it, that was really sweet." The rest of the wedding went extremely fast until it was time to share our vows.

"Do you Brendon, take Sarah as your lawfully wedded bride,"

"I do," I smiled nervously, what if she didn't.

"And do you Sarah, take Brendon as you lawfully wedded husband,"

"I do," I let out a soft breath of relief.

"I now present you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," I put my hand in her hair and pulled her close, and she did the same. We kissed, her lips soft against mine. We seemed to melt into each other. I knew we were truly meant to be. The love of my life.
So that's my first one shot, I hope you liked it. I thought it would be only fitting to do Death of a Bachelor first as it was what got me into this type of music, and just music in general. I wrote the beginning of it in school, so that's why it's kinda crappy, I mean this entire thing is but that mainly. I do know that their actual wedding was outside, and the when they got married was wrong, but I don't really care. Anyways hope you liked it, and sorry it was so short.
