"What do you do for a living?
Perhaps you've thrown yourself in with the gluttonous swine of high society, ever greedy and ever wanting. Maybe you tell yourself you're doing it for family. To make sure they'll never have to struggle. To make sure, that they'll never have to lift a finger for work that is obviously beneath them.
Lies.
We all know why you do it, hell, somewhere in that seedy and conniving brain of yours, even you know the truth. You're greedy. You want more. You've always wanted more. More for yourself, more for your missus and more for the little shits you call children. Hell, you probably have some whore on the side who'd gladly sleep with you for a nicer purse. Then again... it's not like you care about the other, aye? She's just another trophy, like the Rolex you wear or the Ray-Bans you don at night, I mean come on, who does that? Prick.
No... she's nothing to you really, just another object for you to show off. She's an object. Another... Thing to own. Don't kid yourself, if society allowed it, you'd have a dozen of them draped all over you, because at the end of the day, nothing satisfies you, does it? The avarice that plagues your very being. Obtaining ever more meaningless possessions to fill in the void of whatever benign issues you have. Daddy issues maybe? Pathetic. You sicken me. You're frankly disgusting. But that's why we're here, isn't it?
Or maybe you're of the working class. Carrying society on your back, whether it's food industry or sanitation, education or manual labor... You truly believe the world owes you something doesn't it? That because you work oh so very hard, spending hours and hours of effort into everything you do, that you believe that you are entitled to some form of recompense? A compensation for your ever so difficult life... Fuck you asshole. Everyone, and I mean everyone has had it hard. I bet you're thinking, "Yeah, but I didn't have a silver spoon. I'm not rich" blah blah blah... yada yada yada...
No.
If you really wanted it, you could be rich, you just want something else. Don't know what I mean? Let's say you wanted a Luxor, you know the one. With the 4-wheel Drive? The ergonomic-whatever it's called? Well, why not actually save for it idiot? That coffee you got this morning? Another 5 Royals down the drain. Your Muse-Life subscription? 10 Royals a month.
And what about your dead-end job? Why'd you stop there? Quit telling yourself that "It's just to make ends meet". Get a real one you half-wit. Life's easy. But let's be honest... blaming everything else is even easier. You're almost worse than the pigs at the top, shitting on you from the upper echelons of society. Do you want to know why? Because you greedily devour whatever shit they'd give you if it meant adding an extra pump of caramel into your shitty coffee. You deserve whatever hell hole you live in. Quite honestly, I'd like nothing more than to let you suffer through it. However, I have my own Job to do."
The man got up from his perch, finally sauntering into the light. Raising his arms as if egging on some invisible contender, he continued,
"No? Nothing ringing a bell? Are you one of those "do-gooders" who try to "Make the world a better place"? I assume you're in medicine then, or something or other. Maybe a teacher or humanitarian. I bet you're a vegan as well. Bloody idiot. You think that if one person stops eating meat, it'll change the world? You think if a million will, things will change? Why don't you get yourself a horse, stop using plastic and switch to all renewable energy then you fucking hypocrite. Why don't you donate your earnings for the needy and homeless? Why live in a nice 2-story house when you be giving to others?
The answer: self-gratification. You don't do the things you do to make the world a better place. You do it to help yourself. You're probably the worst of them all. Yes, I'm sure that in your poor deluded mind, you think that you want to help people, but like all the blithering idiots out there, you do it for one thing.
