Minho was tiredly walking to school when an overly excited Jisung appeared in front of him.

"Good morning Minho" the younger said as he hugged the older and kissed his cheek.

"Good morning squirrel" the older replied as he ruffled Jisung's hair, before proceeding to hold his cold hand.

It was getting colder and colder these days, it was already mid-December. The sky was still a dark shade of blue at this time of the morning and they were lucky it wasn't raining.

Minho was so caught up in his tiredness that he didn't notice Jisung's talking to him until he stopped in his tracks.

"What's up?" Minho asked looking straight at Jisung's dumbfounded face.

"Are you okay? You're so out of it today. Did anything happen? What are you thinking about?" Jisung asked cautiously, not wanting the older to get mad at him on such an important day.

"I'm fine, baby. Just really tired. This year's been really exhausting"

"You should rest more, at least it's almost Christmas break" Jisung answered back as they resumed walking.

"But what were you talking about?"

"Oh nothing. Just that today is a special day.."

"Oh? It is? Is it your parents' birthday? I usually receive a notification from my calendar when it's their anniversary maybe this isn't working that well anymor-" Minho rambled as he fished his phone out of his pocket to check it for notifications.

"Hey, stop rambling. You sound like me" Jisung said and laughed, trying to not show how disappointed and sad he was that Minho forgot about their 1 month anniversary.

"But what's so important about today baby?" the older pressed.

"Oh, it's nothing. I have to go now, my teacher wants to meet up with me before class. Bye, hyung" he lied and left, leaving a very confused Minho behind.

He knew Jisung was acting strange, his teachers never asked to meet up with him this early, he didn't give him a goodbye kiss and he never calls him hyung. What could he have forgotten that was so important?
