You know smiles can fake but eyes can't lie
your voice tone can change but gestures can't hide
you can't tell but I can feel it
your heart like stone
your cold-blooded eyes
your mysterious poker face
it says it all
you're broken, you're scared, you're lonely
you can't tell but I can see it
your deep jokes, your weird laugh, your reddish face
it says it all
you're smart, you're strong, you're perfectly imperfect
I know, you know you're not weak
that's why you're still here
keep it goin', even if it means pretending
though it's just a defense mechanism
keep it up, even if it means hiding
though it's just self-protection
