I've heard some people trying to figure out the meaning behind the lyrics to Bellyache, which is one of my favourite songs by Billie Eilish. The truth is that Bellyache is a song about murder. If you don't believe me, go check out the interview in which Billie confirmed that the song is about murder. And no, Billie didn't really kill anybody in real life. It's just a song.

Note: I will be only writing about the certain parts in the song that are clearly about Billie's fictional crime. The lyrics are not mine. This song is Billie's. I am not trying to cause any problems, and I just wanted to explain the lyrics for anyone who wanted to know.

My friends aren't far, in the back of my car lay their bodies...

So she's singing that she murdered her friends and dumped them in the boot of her car.

Where's my mind? Where's my mind?

She is questioning her sanity, and wondering to herself why she killed her friends.

They'll be here pretty soon, looking through my room for the money...

The police officers are coming to arrest her and she's looking for the money she's stolen.

I'm biting my nails. I'm too young to go to jail. It's kinda funny...

I don't really need to explain this one.

Where's my mind? Where's my mind? Where's my mind? Where's my mind?

She is, once again, questioning her choices and worrying.

Maybe it's in the gutter, where I left my lover...

Obvious.

What an expensive fate...

She could call this an expensive fate for a few different reasons. One, it could be because of the money she stole. Or she could call this an expensive fate because she did something crazy and illegal and is going to pay the price for it.

My V is for Vendetta...

A vendetta is a blood feud in which the family of a murdered person seeks revenge on the murderer or the murderer's family. So, once again, this is outright saying that she killed someone.

Thought that I'd feel better, but now I got a bellyache...

She is starting to regret what she did and feels guilty about it.

Everything I do, the way I wear my noose like a necklace...

Let me remind you again, this song is not really about Billie. Billie likes to step into the shoes of the person in her songs, and in this case, the person was a psycho and a killer. In this part of the song, she wants to... well, kill herself after what she did.

I wanna make 'em scared, like I could be anywhere. Like I'm reckless...

She wants everyone to fear her because she is a criminal and dangerous.

I lost my mind. I don't mind. Where's my mind? Where's my mind?

Once again, she is acknowledging the fact that she's lost her mind and is crazy, but she doesn't care.

Okay, I think you get it at this point. The song is about murder. Once more, I remind you that this song is Billie's, not mine. All credit goes to Billie Eilish.
