Myrnin was lying next to me, and my room was dark. I had just woken up, and I was lying in bed, tracing my eyes over the muscles of his back.

There's this one song I used to listen to when I was younger, it's called Believe, and it's by Cher. The main words to it are 'do you believe in life after love' but when I was younger, I always thought the words were 'Do you believe in love after life?', and that seems quite fitting to me, here in Morganville. If they were the correct lyrics, I would say yes. Because I do. I believe in love after life, as I am in love.

I am in love with the crazy vampire scientist.

Myrnin turned over. He smiled. 'I've seen so much in my life, but there's one thing I've never seen. Anything quite like you.'
