Happy fanficfriday everyone! I know in the last upload I mentioned infinity war preferences. They are still coming, just not yet. I'm kind of struggling, so here's a backup I had written just in case.

@Meteor752 asked for a preference where the character gets recognized and blamed for the death of someone close to them. Thank you so much for requesting and I hope this is what you wanted, if not let me know and I can redo it for you. I have to admit, I kind of struggled with this one.

Warnings: mention of death, slight violence.

This preference is gender neutral.

Tony:

You were out on the town, walking hand and hand, enjoying your day off, when suddenly a man walks up to the both of you. He looks angry, and Tony goes into defense mode, pushing you behind him. But the man doesn't do anything, just shakes his head with a scowl on his face. And a part of you knew why. Tony knew why too, but it was even worse to not hear it out loud. His mind was left to wonder about what it was he had done, who had gotten hurt because of him, and he lost several nights of sleep because of it.

(I love this GIF so much.)

Steve:

He had come home from work one day, not his usual self. You could tell by the long look on his face that something was wrong, and this usually meant that he needed alone time. But this particular day, he had a glint in his eye, a glassiness that made you speak up.

"Steve, what's wrong?"

And something in your words broke him, be it the softness or the concern, and he broke down crying. It took him a while to tell you, but when he did you wished you had never heard the words come out of his mouth. "I couldn't save them all, Y/N. She had kids, two daughters, and I didn't save them." He didn't have to explain, you knew enough about his job to put it all together, and your heart broke for him.

(Chris is a dork. Like if you ever watch his interviews he does nothing but joke around and laugh. He's a goof ball and I love him but then there are moments where he turns into this smoldering man and makes my insides melt. The inconsistency is going to be the death of me one day.)
