It had been several weeks since Michael had played that prank on you, pretending to be interested in Catherine. Now, you decided that you wanted to get him back.
You were seated at the edge of your bed, waiting for Michael to return home from the studio. You fiddled with your fingers, smiling as you thought of how you would get your husband back.
The afternoon sky was a beautiful shade of lilac, indicating that evening was imminent. As you glanced at your small wrist watch, you heard the front doors open, then close.
A few seconds passed before the bedroom door opened - revealing your dashing husband. He walked in and shut the door - smiling widely when he saw you.
"Hi," he made his way over to you, kissing your cheek.
"Hi," you smiled. "You're home early," you remarked as he walked into the bathroom, turning on the light and taking a glance at his reflection in the mirror.
"I managed to get away," he laughed, turning his head to look at you. "But you seem a little...distant," he raised an eyebrow. "Is everything okay?"
"Uh...well...there's something that I need to tell you," you bit your lip. Michael walked out of the bathroom, switching off the light.
"Okay," he urged you. "Go on,"
"Well...." you kicked your legs gently. "I...am...pregnant,"
Michael's eyes widened.
"Are you serious?" he questioned with a shocked look.
"Yeah," you nodded.
"Serious?" he asked again, laughing a little. "No, you're playing..." he shook his head.
"I'm serious," you smiled.
"A baby?" he grinned. "Oh my God...I can't believe it!" he chuckled, walking over to you and kissing your cheek. "You're...pregnant,"
"Yeah," you responded.
"Oh my God!" he exclaimed again, clearly happy. "You're going to have a baby!"
"Why are you so happy, though?" you frowned. "It's not your baby,"
The room fell silent as Michael stared at you, his eyes wider than ever.
"What....did you just say?" Michael raised an eyebrow.
"What I just said," you rolled your eyes slightly, folding your arms. "I'm pregnant, but it isn't your baby,"
"(Y/N)," he searched your eyes. "You're playing, right?"
"I'm sorry," you stared at him.
"Are you kidding me?" he continued to search your eyes. "Are you kidding me, (Y/N)? Please tell me you're playing,"
"You cheated on me?" Michael scoffed a little. "Is that what you're saying? You cheated on me?"
"I'm sorry," you repeated.
"I'm sorry, (Y/N)?" he shook his head. "Is that all you've got to say?" his eyes went dark. "Who did you sleep with?"
"You don't know him," you bit your lip.
"(Y/N), who the hell did you sleep with?!" he raised his voice.
"I said you don't know him!" you responded.
"Oh my God," Michael ran his fingers through his hair, shaking his head. "You cheated on me..." he trailed off. "I can't believe this,"
"Michael," you stood up. However, he backed away.
"Don't...come near me," he clenched his jaw. "I don't know what I'll do,"
"Michael, just take a deep breath," you tried to stop yourself from laughing. "Please,"
"You cheated on me? You cheated on me?!" he couldn't seem to fathom the idea.
"Michael, calm down,"
"Oh my God!" he exclaimed.
You stared at Michael for a long moment before you broke into a series of giggles. Michael looked at you, clearly confused.
"It's a prank!" you laughed, walking up to your husband and kissing his cheek. Michael relaxed, shaking his head. "I'm sorry!" you wrapped your arms around his neck.
"My God," he sighed. "So...you're not pregnant?"
"Nope," you shook your head. "Not yet, at least," you winked.
Michael let out a breath that he didn't know he'd been holding.
"I'm so getting you back for this, (Y/N),"
Shall I make this a series?
Lemme know your thoughts!
Lots of love!
