One step.
Two Steps.
Three Steps.
All by myself, with no one to share all of these amazing moments with.
You know, I saw the Eiffel Tower today during my travels. It was so very beautiful, I wish I experienced it all with someone, anyone I could trust.
Marianna had these thoughts running through her head like a nonstop train. That is until she heard yelling. Her eyes darted to a man wearing a....crown on his head? It looked plastic and fake.
The French girl bit her lip, starting to walk away, but when she looked back again at the scared cashier's terrified eyes, she felt a strong need and had regret for trying to leave the horrible situation. She had to stop pitying these people everyday..but she just couldn't.
"Pourquoi est-ce toujours moi?..."
She joked and shook her head with a smile and walked, to a dark alley to apply her place on her new costume she made last year.
She grinned like an idiot, loving her little costume and feeling like a completely different person as she placed the silky under fabrics, then placed on her over cloth.
The backpack she had on was now on the ground, holding the two remaining ingredients to her heroic costume. She grabbed some cool Halloween mummy cloth she bought, wrapping it around her arms and legs. She grabbed some orange paint and rubbed it on her face with perfect patterns that would somewhat hide her identity for now.
Wrapping her hair up into a tight, high ponytail, she blew an orange smoke bubble out of her mouth and got it ready, holding it close while running to the store with her half cloth covered feet.
Pitter.
Patter.
Pitter.
Patter.
She giggled like a child as she opened the door, grabbing the attention of the robber, seeing as he lifted his gun. She smirked and threw the bubble to him, making smoke come out everywhere, it wasn't harmful at all, lucky for the hostage cashier.
Marianna quickly slid down the counter, blowing a couple more bubbles to surround the criminal's eyes as she picked up the cashier bridal style. She swiftly went outside and placed the civilian to safety, running back into the store and jumping up, throwing a cliché movie kick to the crowned man.
She clapped her hands together elegantly, blowing a large bubble and trapping the fake king in it just for the police to handle.
The woman snickered and blew up another bubble for herself, just about to jump into it until yet another interruption.
"Hey! Who are you? Are you an Avenger?!"
A voice called out, it was a young girl, looked in her teen years, holding up a recording phone.
This made Marianna let out a hearty laugh and reply.
"No, I am not Iron Man, nor Captain America, for I am something greater, someone who will ensure safety."
Her eyes shimmered with mischief and confidence, her face turning up to the starry sky with a proud grin.
"I was just human. But now I am...something special.
I am Mari."
