25. The Getaway : Family

The house was on a beach, which was very convenient. Ever since we got here 3 hours ago, I ran around the house trying to find my old guitar that I left here last time I was here, Matt went to find fire wood for later and cut himself on a so called "sharp tree branch", and Josh went and bought food, forgetting we only had Canadian money so he had to go to the bank. Now, we were all changing into swim suits.

"Josh!" I shouted from our room, shimmying into a pair of jean shorts. I soon heard foot steps running up the stairs.

"Yes?" He asked, leaning on the door frame, a stupid little smile plastered on his face. He bit down on his thumb to keep himself from laughing.

"What are you laughing at?" I asked pulling at the straps of my bikini.

"Nothing, it's just that Nicole's down there walding around in a bikini and yelling at Matt. It's fun to watch." Josh let out a laugh. I quickly slipped my flip flops and ran downstairs, Josh running behind me.

"You know what, Matt? You're such a fucking pussy!" Nicole yelled at him. I covered my mouth and looked at Josh, he was trying not to piss himself with laughter.

"You're having a child and getting married to this 'pussy'!" Matt shouted back, using air quotations with his fingers. Nicole just sighed, cracking her fingers.

"You're a dick Matt, you know that?" Nicole half laughed, walking over to him.

"I know." Matt laughed, talking her in a hug. Then it was completely quiet. All you could hear was the ocean waves crashing from outside. Then, there was laughter. First it was Josh, then it was me, then everybody joined in.

"Group hug!" I shouted, running over the them. Soon, I felt arms on me. Everybody was hugging.

"Guys, sorry to fuck up this little moment here, but I can't breath." Nicole chuckled. When we broke apart, we all ran outdoors to the beach.

My eyes were closed underneath my sunglasses. I could hear Megan humming some Katy Perry song along with the guys teasing each other.

"Jones! Open up those sexy eyes!" Ian shouted. My eyes burst open to see Ian's bare ass inches away from my face. I quickly scrunched my eyes closed again and leaned my head back, letting out a huge laugh.

"You know Ian, that's the first time I've seen your ass. I must say, I'm impressed." I chuckled before getting up and tugging my shorts off.

"Thank you, ma'lady." Ian chuckled doing a little bow. Josh, Matt, Nicole and Kim were all in the water, so i thought I'd join them. I ran into the somewhat cold water.

"Hey beautiful." Josh smiled, wrapping me in a hug.

"Hey dickhead." I replied, pecking him on the cheek.

"I swear it's your job to ruin romantic moments." Josh said before letting go of me and laughing.

"I can't believe Matt and Nicole are getting married two weeks from now, this is insane. Seems like I just got back here, but now were back together and moved in, we had an amazing fucking tour, my whole bands moving out with us, new album soon, Nic and Matt's baby! This is all too much." I rambled on. Josh nodded his head.

"A lot is happening, but we can handle it, I know we can." He said, hugging me once again.

We watched the sunset from the water as the rest of the guys attempted to start a fire.

"How the fuck do you do this?" Ian shouted, throwing a log into the fire.

"Don't ask me." Matt chimmed in, laughing.

"Caelyn! A little help here?" Mike yelled from the shore.

"Come on, let's go in and help these bozos. I look like a raisin." I laughed, slowly making our way out of the water. The cool air hit my shoulders and made me shivver, making me run in faster and pulling a towel over my shoulder.

I started the fire as the guys stared in awe. I quickly ran inside, grabbed my guitar and sat back down with the guys.

"Are you fucking superman or something?" Matt wondered, grabbing my guitar out of my hands.

"5 years of girl guides gets to you, man." I laughed, snuggling into Josh.

That night, I had one of the best nights ever. It was so damn peaceful-so amazing. We all took turns playing on guitar singing stupid campfire songs, we laughed until we couldn't laugh anymore, we stayed up until early hours of the morning. We were ourselves, we pretended we weren't famous just for the night. It felt like us 8 were the only people on the planet and we were okay with it. Nothing mattered except for us. These guys were my family.

As the night came to a end, when we put out the fire with a bucket of ocean water, when everybody went inside, I stayed outside just to take a moment for myself. As I breathed in and out I watched the ocean glisten from the moonlight.

A shooting star flew across the sky and I made a wish. I made a wish that we will always be there for each other, that nothing will ever happen to tear us apart.

That wish that night at 3:12 am came true.
