You sat at the edge of the bed, laughing with your husband - Michael. He sat next to you, and the two of you were cracking jokes here and there.
"Are you serious?" you giggled.
"Yes!" Michael chuckled.
The two of you continued to laugh before you heard someone knock at the bedroom door, which was shut.
"Come in," Michael turned his head toward the doorway, and so did you.
The door opened, and Carol - the chief of staff at Neverland, stood there with a serious look on her face. When you saw her expression, you frowned.
"Carol," you said whilst standing up. "Is everything okay?"
"I'm afraid not," she sighed, shaking her head. Michael stood up, wrapping his hands around your waist as he looked at Carol.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"We've just got a call from Frank, and he says that your lives are in danger," she shook her head. "There's a potential killer on the loose, and he's after the two of you,"
Your eyes widened and you gasped. Michael's grip around your waist tightened, and when you turned your head to look at him - you knew that he was worried.
"Shit," you mumbled, looking back at Carol. "What are we going to do?"
Everyone stayed silent, not knowing the answer to your question. The truth was, if a potential killer was on the loose - the first place he was going to hunt, was Neverland. Without a doubt, that fact was the elephant in the room.
"I think we need to get the two of you away from here," Carol spoke. "For the time being,"
"Yeah, that sounds like a plan," Michael sighed. "But you have to promise that you'll take safety measures for yourself as well,"
"Wow, this place is beautiful," you remarked as you and Michael walked into the house that you would be staying in for the next few weeks.
It was an old building, and it looked like a cottage. Carol's uncle had owned the house, but since he wasn't staying there - you and Michael were able to occupy it.
After Carol had given you the news of the potential killer, you and Michael had packed up, leaving straight away. At the back of your mind, you were worried about the staff members back at Neverland, and your only source of solace - was the fact that the security team at Neverland was the best there was.
"It is," Michael responded. "Well, this is going to be our home for the next few weeks," he turned around to face you. "Until things get better,"
"What if it doesn't?" you bit your lip nervously. "What if the killer is never found? We'd be living tentatively for the rest of our lives,"
"Have faith," he walked up to you. You had your bag in your hand, and you set it down before Michael pulled you close. "The killer will be found. It's just a matter of time," he kissed your forehead. "I promise,"
You broke into a small smile. "I'm so lucky to have a husband like you," you looked into his eyes. "As long as I'm with you, I'm not scared of anything,"
"And as long as I'm with you, I have everything I could ever want," he whispered before the two of you shared a loving kiss.
Two hours had passed since you and Michael had arrived at the house, and at present moment - the two of you were asleep in the living room, using the large sofa as a bed.
For some reason, you had awoken with a start - breathing heavily. Deep within you, you had begun to feel uneasy. You sat up, and in the process - you happened to wake Michael up as well.
"Baby?" Michael whispered, sitting up. You were sweating, and your hands were cold. "What's wrong?"
You shook your head, for some reason - you felt as if something was wrong.
"I just...feel uneasy," you bit your lip before a series of gunshots could be heard.
They had found you.
I know this wasn't very good.
Lots of love!
