After you had realized that Michael had left, you had packed your own things - and decided to go to your best friend, Luisa's, house. She had welcomed you with open arms, telling you that you could stay with her for as long as you needed to.
At present moment, you were seated on the sofa of her living room. Luisa was in the kitchen, preparing you a warm cup of tea. You fiddled with your wedding ring, feeling heavy. Your eyes were swollen, and your eyes were red from all the crying that you had done.
Several moments passed before your best friend walked into the living room - setting your cup of tea down on the coffee table before you. She sighed, straightening up and moving to sit across from you.
"I can't believe that son of a bitch," she remarked. "Leaving you with a pathetic note. The two of you are supposed to be married. Clearly, he doesn't know the meaning of the word,"
You sniffled and reached out to grab the cup of tea. You took a small sip before setting it down again.
"I can't believe it either," your voice was weak. "I never imagined he'd leave. Perhaps he'd finally had enough for me,"
"Well, he's a jerk," Luisa rolled her eyes. "And you need a change of environment," she broke into a sly grin.
"What are you suggesting?" you raised an eyebrow slightly.
"Just wait and see,"
After several hours, you were seated at the bar - drinking a glass of wine. Luisa was out on the floor, dancing. Her movements made you chuckle slightly.
Your best friend had managed to drag you along with her to a club - and you had to admit, the change of scenery felt refreshing.
"(Y/N)!" Luisa exclaimed as she danced. "Come on! It's fun!"
You laughed and shook your head before a male voice spoke from behind you.
"Hello," you turned around to see a handsome, tall man. He was muscular, and had bright blue eyes. His hair was golden, and his smile was mesmerizing.
"Hi," you sighed as he took a seat beside you. He ordered two more glasses of wine from the bartender.
"I don't want to be rude," he began to speak again, making you frown a little. "But you're incredibly beautiful,"
"Oh...thanks," you smiled shyly. You were never took attention well.
"Are you from around here?" he asked.
You shrugged and bit your lip.
"Listen, I'm sorry if you're uncomfortable," he remarked. "I'll just go,"
"No," you shook your head, making the man raise his eyebrow. "I'm sorry..I'm just not in a good place right now,"
"My husband left me on my own," you took another sip of your wine. "And all that he left was a note,"
"Ouch," the man sighed. "You know...I just got out of a relationship recently," he shrugged. "Four years, and she threw it all away when she cheated on me,"
"I'm sorry to hear that," you studied the man's features momentarily. He was gorgeous.
Suddenly, the music began to slow down - and people were pairing off so they could dance.
"I know this is completely random...but..shall we dance?" he held his hand out.
You opened your mouth to respond - but you heard a familir voice.
"She won't be going anywhere near you,"
What the hell is he doing here?!
