Part 2 - Into the Adventure - Chapter 7

"You... you're taking a human... a mage... and your explosive self... trying to stop raging clans that have been fighting for months, no, maybe years at this point," Oro stammered and Melody burst out laughing.

"Now you understand why I'm not concerned with Ghayah figuring out I left behind her back again! I'm practically on a suicide mission!" Melody hollered and Oro stumbled back in a small state of panic.

"Melody..." He murmured as she turned away and snatched the map out of my hands.

"If you want to join, fine. It's too late now anyways, but if you don't want to come on a suicide mission with us then go ahead and go back to the city," She stated coldly and began walking.

Emerald and I quickly followed after her not wanting to hear the rage of either if we didn't move. She was walking at a very quick rate and Emerald could barely keep up while I fell far behind.

"Melody! Slow up would ya?!" I heard myself echo.

I turned around to see Oro charging up behind me. I turned to see Oro charing up after us and I threw myself out of the way. Melody turned as I threw myself into a bush and saw Oro charging up at her. She pulled an arrow and held it an arms length away from her, stopping Oro dead in his tracks.

"So... you wanna come with the insane people aye?" Melody asked with a small smirk. Emerald helped me up from the bush as we watched in a small panic.

"Yes. If it kills me then I shall have died for the better of Odessa," Oro stated and I saw a small glow grow in his hands.

"Did you see that Emerald?" I whispered and he looked at my with confusion.

"His hands were glowing," I muttered and Emerald took a second look as the light from Oro's hands slowly faded.

"Maybe... maybe it has sometime to do with when someone swears them self to the prophecy," Emerald suggested and it made a little bit of sense. Then again I'm still very new to this world, only having been here for a couple days. That got me thinking about back home. I reached into my pocket and felt my phone and pulled it out while Emerald went over to Melody and Oro. I turned it on knowing it wouldn't exactly work here but to my surprise I still saw messages appear on my screen. I felt my heart sink a little knowing I might never go back there but right now. I really didn't care.

"X! Hurry it up!" Melody shouted and I shoved my phone into my pocket and raced to catch up with them.

We had been walking for a few hours and it only felt as if we'd been walking for a few moments. We came across a massive clearing filled with craters, burned supplies, and reeked of the dead. We split up and began looking around.

"What's this place supposed to be?" I asked Emerald as he inspected a plant.

"It used to be the area where the wolf tribes would meet and converse peacefully. Why Melody brought us here is beyond my assumption however," He stated and I took another look around. Melody and Oro were bickering while investigating the other side of the clearing.

"Xavier, can you read this?" Emerald asked pulling out a small tablet.

"Uh, probably," I replied taking the tablet.

"Where'd you find this?" I asked.

"In the shrubs, I'm not that well versed in the werewolf language so forgive me," He explained and I took a look over the tablet.

Speaker: This is a message to those who will listen. We do not wish ill will towards any of you but we will take disciplinary measures if need be. If you will all listen for a moment, the tribes wish to seek a resolution to the fighting. We do not want any more fighting as it might drive this world into war. The raids have been happening for far too long and we all want it to end. The Red Hunters clan wishes to make allies with the smaller groups and the Bare Bones tribes. Please consider this request for we do not want to seem threatening nor do we want to cause fighting.
