Throw away your gold

I stared at myself in the mirror. The black suit somehow looked like it was tailored just to fit me. Despite it being from a second-hand store. It saved money and time so there wasn't any room to complain. And besides, after going to five different stores, MJ would've stapled to onto me.

"Looking sharp Peter!" MJ spoke with a glint of pride in her eyes. "They grow up so fast." She continued as she pretended to wipe a tear from her face.

I rolled my eyes, "Haha very funny. Tell me what you really think."

"Really though, you look sharp. Go brush your teeth though. No one likes kissing someone with bad breath." MJ instructed.

"Yes madam." I replied sarcastically. After rinsing my mouth from the toothpaste, I sprayed on some fancy cologne that MJ said smelled nice.

I walked out of the bathroom while a knock came from the front door. It's a good thing that I live a good few miles away from the university. Less of a chance of being caught.

"Go get him tiger." MJ smiled, handing me a jacket.

I smiled back and opened the door. Stephen stood there with a smirk on his face, "Well don't you clean up nicely." He commented.

"Have to look my best for my favorite professor." I replied with a teasing grin.

Strange smiled and held out his hand, "Shall we?" I laced our fingers together and nodded.

The place where Stephen decided to take me was at a country club. Everything seemed to sparkle, with the grass green and with the building polished down to the floor.

We stepped out of the car and Stephen guided me into the marble-floored place. Chandlers practically hanging from every corner of the ceiling. Stephen smirked at my gaped expression of everything around me.

"Want to place?" He asked, gesturing towards the floor that had couples swaying to the soft music.

"Um, I don't really know how to." I said, suddenly feeling nervous.

Stephen's eyes soften as he gently took me by the waist. "Don't worry, I'll teach you sweetheart." And my heart swung as we circled the dance floor full of smiles and laughs.

This man was simply wonderful.
