My eyes fluttered open to reveal the clear blue sky and the bright green grass surrounding me. Everything appeared vibrant. I lay on my side, facing the valley while Zach's arms clung to my waist. My naked body was pressed against his as we slept in the field.

"Good morning," he whispered in my ear, his warm breath fanning over my skin. His voice was coarse and husky, sending shudders down my spine.

"Good morning," I replied, pulling myself away from his arms to get dressed.

"Ah ah ah." He tugged me backwards so I slammed back into his chest and his grip tightened around me. "You aren't leaving yet." I giggled and squirmed in his hold, desperate to put some clothes on because it was quite cold. "Ella," he warned.

"Mhm," I mumbled, wriggling in his tight hold.

"Stop moving," he growled and I laughed as I felt his erection pressing against my back. I continued to squirm around in his grasp with a grin on my face and he snarled behind me. "Ella, stop moving or I am going to have to fuck you all over again," he warned and I halted.

"I'm tired and sore," I whined and his chest vibrated behind me as a rumble of laughter erupted from him.

"Yep." He smirked, popping the 'p'. I rolled my eyes and forced his hands away so I could get up. He groaned but sat up anyway and helped me clasp my bra back on.

"Thanks," I muttered as I threw my t-shirt on and scanned the contents on the ground for my underwear. I caught a glimpse of them and traipsed across the clearing to find them ripped in half. "Zach, these were my favourite," I grumbled tossing them at him and sliding my shorts on without them.

"Mm, I will keep them as a souvenir," he hummed as he also dressed.

"Oh shit. My dad!" I exclaimed and he groaned.

"What?" He asked, glancing around the empty clearing.

"He is going to wonder where the hell we were all night," I exclaimed, panicking about an excuse. I pulled my phone from my pocket and rang our group call.

"Hey El," Ryder called.

"Hi," Jordan answered.

"Hey Ella!" Alexia also picked up.

"Hey guys, I really need you to cover for me. If anyone asks, me and Zach slept over with you guys last night at someone's house ok?" I explained and I heard Ryder gasp.

"Omg! You and Zach were out all night? You did it didn't you!" He exclaimed and Zach laughed behind me while I growled.

"Shut up Ryder!" I barked and he stopped laughing aloud and simply sniggered.

"My parents were out last night so you can say you all slept at mine," Alexia said and I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Perfect thank you," I replied.

"So... how was he El?" Jordan whispered.

"You know I can hear you right Jord?" Zach laughed from behind me and I could practically hear Jordan blushing.

"Oh," she squeaked as I ended the call. I turned to a smirking Zach and laughed before scrambling to my feet.

Zach and I walked back down to the village and quietly slipped into the house. "There you are! Where were you?" My dads voice boomed down the hallway. I gulped as he approached us and crossed his arms over his chest. "Well?" He demanded as we both stood in silence.

"We all slept at Alexia's," I lied. "My phone died, sorry." Another lie spouted out my mouth. The guilt and nerves ate at me from the inside out as I waited for him to answer.

"Next time call me, I was worried," he growled, but pulled me into a hug.

"I'm sorry dad." I sighed, leaning against him and hugging him back.

"It's ok honey." He kissed the top of my head and turned to Zach. "I need to speak to you." He nodded.

Zach nodded in reply and they both started to walk to the office. "Dad?" I called after him and he turned back to me.

"Sorry Ella, its private." He smiled and turned back to Zach before they entered and sealed the door shut.

Zach's POV

Alex pressed the door closed, blocking Ella from hearing the conversation. I felt guilt wash over me for talking behind her back and I knew how badly she wanted to know everything. My heart sped up slightly as I wondered what Alex wanted. He usually spoke to me about the pack but Ella knew everything now so I couldn't help but wonder what he was going to talk about.

After the amazing night I just had, I couldn't help but worry that he didn't believe Ella's lie and knew exactly what we did. I didn't regret it, at all. If Alex knew, Ella was worth any punishment or beating from my Alpha.

She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen and whenever she was in the room, I couldn't help but admire every inch of her. I loved her beauty and I loved her fiery personality - she was a leader and she hated being told what to do. I loved it when she tested my patience and when she defied me. I loved everything about her. She was perfect.

"Is everything ok Alex?" I asked, snapping out of my thoughts.

"You tell me," he replied and I narrowed my eyes at him curiously.

"What do you mean?"

"I know about you and Ella," he stated and my jaw nearly fell all the way to hell.

"W-what... what do you-."

"Don't bother," he snapped, interrupting me, not that I minded since I didn't know where I was going with it. "I know you two are together."

"I um...I am in love with her," I stated confidently.

"I can see that," he replied, his face remaining emotionless and his voice monotonous. "How long for?" He asked and I thought back to when I knew I loved her.

"Pretty much the day we met." I laughed slightly and he narrowed his eyes.

"She loves you?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yes, she loves me," I told him, I was pretty certain, especially after last night. "Are you mad?" I asked slowly.

"No," he replied, "But I guess Ella thought I would be?" He asked and I nodded. "Well, I admit, I have attacked any guy who has ever looked at her." He laughed and I gulped nervously.

"How did you find out?" I asked him and he laughed again.

"Zach, I know my daughter better than anyone. I haven't seen her this happy since her mother lived here. I catch her smiling at you and staring at you when you aren't even looking. I also see you sneaking glances at her. And don't think I haven't noticed how willing you were to protect her," he explained.

"I will gladly risk my life to protect her," I assured him and he nodded.

"I can see that too. But like I said, I haven't seen Ella happy for a long time. If she loses you, she will never forgive herself and she will struggle to be happy again," he told me and my heart shattered at the thought of Ella hurting. "While my daughters safety is always my priority, her happiness is something that I also prioritise and she needs you alive. She needs you."

"I need her too. I won't let them take her. I couldn't stand to lose her," I reasoned with him and he nodded.

"Just, don't endanger yourself to protect her. She wouldn't let you anyway." He laughed and I nodded.

"No, she wouldn't." We both laughed at Ellas bossiness and stubbornness.

"You are good for her and you make her happy, so I support it and I am not going to say anything to Ella yet. But it goes without saying that if you break my daughters heart, I will break every bone in your body," he warned me.

"I couldn't hurt her," I assured him and he nodded.

"Just putting it out there." He smirked before stepping towards the door. "Oh and, not under my roof," he growled before reopening the office door and allowing me to leave.
