It was the middle of May, Victoria was getting ready to go meet her best friend Gabriella at a nightclub.

"I can do this. "Victoria said as she starred in the mirror putting on one more coat of red lipstick which made her big brown eyes stand out with her long lashes. "Just go, have fun, come home... Couple of hour's won't hurt you can do it." Victoria was nervous to go out with her friend Gabriella, well because it was her first time going out in a couple of years. Victoria has a deep past... She had married her high school sweetheart after he proposed to her at high school graduation, but at the age of 22 they were In an accident and he did everything he could to protect her life, and he succeeded but Aidan didn't make it. She was heartbroken and lost didn't know what to do, until she found her calling in writing. Victoria then became a writer for a magazine company called Jot it and put all her life into working and writing short stories on the side. 3 years later Victoria is now 25 years old and is going out into town with her bf Gabriella. Gabriella is excited she's been trying to get Victoria out onto the social life for months now! Victoria chooses her outfit and then heads out to her cab. She arrives at the nightclub and goes to Gabriella who's already in line. There's about ten more people ahead of them. "Girl, you look great don't tell me you didn't come to impress" Gabriella said as she smirked at Victoria. Victoria laughed "Ya let's just go dance have a couple drinks and return home, I have a column due on Monday, I want to get started ASAP." "No no no. no work talk tonight honey it's all about letting loose. Its Friday night!." Gabriella said as she winked at Victoria, They are still waiting in line when "excuse me?" Said a tall handsome man with dashing green eyes dressed in an all-black suit. "Yes?" I replied. You ladies can go right up to the front he said, opening the side gate to let us through. "Oh thank you! Is there a reason for this?" Victoria said "just wanted to see you ladies enjoy yourself tonight, my names James let me know if you need anything." "Oh so you work here? My names Victoria, this is Gabriella." Gabriella waved and James said "pleasure to meet u ladies I'll see you around." Around? Around? Ok so just because a handsome guy lets us in the club he isn't interested in you Victoria! Take note be aware you haven't dated since you were 17! You only had one love, not everything is flirtation thought Victoria as she glanced back one more time at James who was walking as he talked with some security guards. Gabriella and Victoria then went to the bar. "Vodka." Said Victoria. Once they took three rounds of shots, Victoria felt relaxed like she inhaled freshness and exhaled all of her stress. Victoria thought "I love Aidan but he's gone I know he'll always be with me in my heart but I need to focus on myself and continue my life." Let's dance! Said Gabriella, as they headed to the dance floor. Victoria and Gabriella were dancing when a guy suddenly interrupts and ask you if you mind if he steals Gabriella for a couple minutes to dance? You see the look on Gabriella's face of wanting to go with him, so you say "of course, she's all yours!" You wink at Gabriella and start walking back to your booth area when a sudden hand grabs your arm gently. You turn back to see James standing there you can smell his colon so strongly and see his shiny eyes staring into yours. "Where do u think you're going?" "Um. Back to my booth! Gabriella is a little busy right now" Said Victoria as she pointed with her eyes to the guy she was dancing with. "Dance with me." Said James. Proudly as he held his hand out and smiled. The music is a slow up beat song you both danced hand in hand some space between you. You swayed your hips back and forth and he followed with his feet. You smiled at him and he suddenly has his hands on your hips, pulling you in close enough so there's barley enough space between you. You continue to sway your hips and whether it was the vodka that hit you too fast, or his dashing green eyes staring into your soul, you lean in. He kisses you, tightening his grip on your hips and kissing you strongly, deeply, but yet gently. You felt unwrapped. You felt as if he took the ribbon off a closed box and this is what you have been waiting for. As you part from the kiss, he smiles, you smile." Come with me" he says. You glance at Gabriella who is already well aware of what's going on and nods at you to go "ill text you." She mouths. You head with James upstairs into an office space with some couches and desk and TVs. "Look,-the kiss" Before you can continue talking James cuffs your face in the palm of his hands and kisses you passionately. You want to stay for more of the kiss but you pull away. Look James, I barley know you.." "I know. That's why I brought you up here to talk." He says as he smiles. And I know you are intoxicated right now which is why I am not trying to have sex, I don't want to take advantage of you, his words were so kind it's like a warm fuzziness around your heart you feel relaxed. You see a chair in front of his desk you sit down and instead he pulls you up by your hand gently and you guys move to a couch. "Tell me about you." He says. "Well my name is Victoria, I'm 25 years old, I am a writer for the magazine "Jot It" .... You pause for a minute, look, I'm going to be honest with you. I haven't dated in four years. I've been with one person all my life, he was my high school sweetheart and he passed away when we were 22 years old. I haven't dated since then, I haven't even talked to any guys really! James smiles, "well to start with Victoria, I am truly sorry for your loss. It seems we have more in common than I thought." He gets up and hands you a glass of water, you sip it and stare at him waiting for him to talk more. "Well let's see I am 26 years old, i have a rather big family, I own 2 night clubs, and 3 hookah lounges, I too have been off the market for a while. You cut in "I find that very hard to believe, with what happened tonight, it feels like this is your usual schedule of way to get girls. He stares at you, actually no... when I said we have more in common I meant ... well I was married at the age of 20 we were young and in love and had our lives planned ahead of us, business, a house, kids, pets, you name it. I was head over heels for her. *suddenly you get chills on your body and feel a bit more sober remembered your love Aidan. He continues, "We had so much fun the time we were together, but she found out she had stage 4 cancer ... it was leukemia. She passed away two months after. I was heartbroken, devastated, with her gone I took time for myself lived with my brother and just mourned the loss of my love. Until one day I realized I need to do something with my life that's what Vanessa would have wanted. That's when I went back to school and began opening my chain of businesses with the help of my father, brothers, and uncles of course. So that is my story. You stare at him, he's gotten closer as he was talking and is leaning on the front of his desk with u sitting in the chair in front of him. You can tell he really opened up to you and you feel the need to comfort him. You stand and touch his hand. "I'm so sorry James, I shouldn't have assumed the worst of you. But I totally feel where you are coming from, and I hope we can start over. You stare in his sharp green eyes and there it is again you feel like he's looking into you. He grabs your hand back and pulls you in for a long lingering romantic kiss. It's just what you both needed to cure the heartache of the moment. You pulls away from the kiss and he stares into your eyes and smiles softly. "Would you like me to take you home? Or I can call a cab?" You look at your phone realizing you should message Gabriella, but when you look you see she already texted you. "Sorry Vic, I left with the guy I met! Don't hate me!! Xoxo" You chuckle a little, actually yeah if you can give me a ride home if you're not too busy. James smiles and grabs his keys, "never, let's go."
