i think this song had a movie to it or something, but this poem is fully based on the song, not the movie. i'm sorry if it doesn't match the movie or it does, because i have never watched the movie what so ever.
i'm lying on the moon
i'll wait for you, i promise
my dear, i'll be there soon
no matter how long it will take
it's a quiet and starry place
even though it's ghastly out here
times were swallowed up
i'll try my best to remember
in space we're here a million miles away
not to forget you
there's things i wish i knew
why didn't you tell me this before
There's no thing I'd keep from you
you left me in the bleak
It's a dark and shiny place
i was so bewildered
But with you my dear
however, i knew... this was for us
I'm safe and we're a million miles away
but now can i bring you home as well?
we're lying on the moon
we're both home
it's a perfect afternoon
but on a different planet
you're shadow follows me all day
you said you'll love me to the moon and back
making sure that i'm okay
i could only smile
and we're a million miles away
not knowing how far that actually is
i have decided not to write explanations from now onward, because i hope the reader (you)! can come up with your own imagination and think deeper about it, or think something completely different with the wordings/poem.
thank you for reading, have a nice day!
