I woke up the next morning from my place on the couch. I heard Charlotte, Zach and Dean talking in the kitchen.

I walked into the kitchen. Charlotte smiled at me, "Morning."

I sat in between Dean and Zach, "Thanks for not mentioning the good, because it isn't a good morning."

"It is whenever your around," Dean gave me a flirty smile.

"Really racking up those brownie points, aren't we Dean?" Charlotte chuckled.

"It's the truth," Dean argued.

I laughed, "Anyways, whats the plan for today?"

"Great question, ms. The plan is I'm going to convince your dad that Ambrose is the best man on earth," she paused and looked at Zach, "Other then you of course."

"Now who's racking up brownie points," Dean said.

Zach laughed, "She don't need any. She already sweet."

"Can we be serious!" I exclaimed.

"Ok," Charlotte muttered.

"Is that all your plan is?" I asked.

"Yeah. The three of us just get in your kitchen, get dad, mom, Daniel and Brie and start blabbing away."

I sighed, "Sometimes I don't think it's even worse trying convincing him."

"Gabs," Dean said, "If they don't like it, we'll still be with each other," Dean promised.

"Ok," I agreed, "I'm going to call Daniel."

I dialed his number. The three watched me as it rang.

"Hey," Daniel answered.

"Dean, Charlotte and I are coming over to try to convince dad again," I said right away, "Have everyone in the kitchen."

"Charlotte is coming?" Daniel questioned.

Daniel chuckled lightly, "Alright, see ya in a few."

"Ready?" Charlotte questioned.

The three of us arrived in Charlotte's van.

"Alright, just follow my lead," Charlotte said, leading the way to the door.

I wasn't so sure about that.

Charlotte opened the door and walked in. Mom, Dad, Daniel and Brie were all at the table like promised.

"Gabby..." mom got up.

"I have a bone to pick with you, Mr, Bryan!" Charlotte yelled, pointing at dad.

This wasn't going to go well.

Charlotte didnt allow him to speak, "How dare you be so selfish! Don't you realize that the two behind me are in love! You can't tamper with true love."

"Charlotte......" my dad said in a stern tone.

"I wasn't done talking!" Charlotte exclaimed, "Dean is one of the best men I have ever known and I can see just by the way that he looks at your daughter, he wants her."

"Terrible wording," I muttered, closing my eyes as my friend didn't help me at all.

"Charlotte!" my dad exclaimed, "This is family business!"

"Oh, so now I'm not family! Last time I checked...."

"Charlotte!" Dean interrupted her and grabbed her arm, "Stop."

Charlotte looked at me, "I was on a roll."

"Listen, Mr. Bryan," Dean stepped forward, "I know you don't see me as your ideal son in law. I know I've done some things in the past, but I was dumb and young back then."

Dean walked over and grabbed my hand and walked me over to stand in front of dad.

"Listen, Dean. I know you mean well, but I just don't think you're right for my daughter," dad muttered.

"Well then you're wrong."

My eyes widened in surprise.

"I was a bad person," Dean muttered, "But you have no idea how much Gabby has changed me as a person, a better person. She is my other half and a life without her," Dean looked at me, "Would be empty."

My heart melted. Even crazy people could be romantic.

Dean turned back to dad, "I love your daughter and I don't care what anyone else thinks. I almost died for her..." Dean paused and rolled his head as he tapped his fingers against his shoulder, "I wouldn't do that for anyone else."

I smiled and put my head against his chest. He wrapped his arms around me.

"I want to ask for your permission to date your daughter," Dean said, "But I just want you to know that even if you do say no, I will not stop till you say yes."

My dad slowly stood up, "That's some strong words."

"And they're all the truth,"

My dad sighed, "Gabby, do you love him?"

I looked up at Dean, "I do."

"Then I guess if your happy...."

I didn't even let him finish. I lept into his arms and gave my dad a hug.

My dad petted my hair, "As long as your happy, I'm happy."

I pulled away from him with a smile and turned back to Dean. Charlotte looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"Group hug!" Charlotte exclaimed as she went and hugged Dean and I.

The other four hesitated until Brie got up and joined in. Daniel joined, followed by mom, then dad forcingly.

I had the best family in the world.
