CHAPTER 24

Hey all, hope all are good and safe. U know what happened in kerala. In flood my laptop and some certificates were damaged partially.i just got my laptop back yesterday. Even though we were in safe zone flood had left really bad impact on our lifes as well. Hope to see green kerala gods own country back in his prosperity soon and a belated COLOR LESS STILL HAPPY ONAM.
here goes the next chapter.

Person : I m really sorry avni.

Avni : why are you saying sorry neil ?

The person was non other than neil. Neil scooped avni more to him from her back.avni unknowingly snuggled more to his safe and warm embrace.that is when avni felt something wet on her shoulder.this alarmed her and she turned to see neil's teary eyes which cause avni's to feel an unknown pain in her heart.she sat up and made him sit too and cupped his face in her hands.

Avni : what happened neil ??

Neil : I m sorry avni.

Avni : why are you saying sorry neil?

Neil : I know u are hurt bcoz I am calling u tubelight.but I was just teasing you.my intentions was never to hurt you. I like teasing you that is why i called you tubelight.

avni : what are you saying neil ?

Neil : yes avni..i m really sorry.

Avni : no neil..i was upset not bcoz u teased me calling tubelight , but bcoz I m not able to reciprocate to you the way you do.

Neil : avni..

Avni : let me complete neil.i know you expected someone who is able to reciprocate your thoughts,actions and feelings properly unlike me.i know u were expecting someone like them .but I m not like that.this is all new to me.so its not that late neil.you have time to re think.

That was enough for neil.he couldn't take it anymore.how could she say this to him.in anger he did something that shocked her.he kissed her on her lips knocking the air out of her lungs.it wasn't an intimate one.there wasn't any lip movement.the kiss was purely meant to stop avni from talking.after sometime he pulled away and cupped her face.

Neil : shut up avni..just shut up..how could u say all this?

Avni : neil.. Just think neil. I cannot even understand what you are saying sometimes. I cannot reply to you romantically.i cannot...

Neil : shhh...now you listen to me very carefully.i have already told u that we will explore our journey together.i don't need anyone who did phd in all this avni.i want you.with u I want to learn everything from beginning and I m sure the journey will be awesome than anything else.and what were you saying re think?my decision will never change avni.now don't you dare to speak like this again.

Avni was in tears now.she was thanking hrr stars for sending neil to her life.neil stood up and extended his hands to her and she happily took it they both went to the balcony and sat there,avni's head on neils shoulder and both their hands intertwined.after sometime of comfortable silence neil decided to speak.

Neil : avni..have you prepared for your exam?

Avni : yes neil..

Neil : are you tensed ?

Avni : yes neil..i have to complete the remaining portions as soon as possible bcoz there will be no time in Sunday.

Neil : you will write my name on you hand right?

Avni : yes and you have to find it.

Neil : that will be simpe.

Avni : overconfidence!!

Neil : no my trust on our this relation.

Avni : I promise neil I will try to be good wife and daughter in law to ur family.

Neil : I know avni.i cant wait to take you with me to my house a my bride.

Avni : thanks neil..

Neil : keep it in ur thanks list.i will take after marriage. Avni gave a confused look and neil understood it.

Neil : forget it.by the way where you want to go after marriage?

Avni : where ever you want to go neil.

Neil : what??

Avni : I m comfortable with anything you decide.

Neil : plz avni say it where you want to go? I will take you there.

Avni : leave it lets talk about it later.

Neil : ok then. We will discuss about this in details later.

Again there was a silence.

Neil : I think I should leave now.its already late.

Avni : no neil you stay here please.its not good to drive this late.

Neil : but avni.. 

Avni : no buts and ifs..just come with me.

With that she pulled him with her in to her room.

Avni : you wait here I will get you aman's dress.you will be comfortable in it.

Avni left saying this and returned with a t shirt and sweat pants.

Avni : go and freshen up neil.

Neil : thanks avni.

Neil went to washroom and changed.he returned to see avni ready to sleep on couch.

Neil : avni..you sleep on bed.i will sleep on couch.

Avni : no neil..i will sleep here.

Neil : no avni...

Avni : yes neil..

Neil : ok fine you too sleep on bed.i promise I won't do anything(winked and pinched his throat promising)

Avni : hoo!!!are u done?? Now come.
I will sleep on left side and you sleep on right side.

Neil : fine with me.

Neil lay down on the right side while avni was searching for something.

Neil : what are looking avni?

Avni : ac's remote is missing.its very cold so let me rise the temperature.

Neil : (in a naughty tone)u are enough to rise the temperature my dear.

Avni : means??

Neil : nothing.you leave it and come here.

He called her opening the quilt a bit so she could enter in to it.

Avni : neil you take that quilt.i will get another.

Neil : oh my god!!what will I do with this tubelight ???

Avni : neil...ok fine

With that she enetered in to it and laid down beside neil facing away from him.neil moved more closer to her hugging her from behind.she snuggled more close to him and losed her eyes .both fell into most peaceful sleep that night.

New short story on avneil is on its way. The story is almost completed. Just a bit is remained. Will be uploading soon
