"DEBORAH! BELLA! BAHAR! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE!!!" Soo Jin, our human alarm yelled at the top of her lungs.
"WE ALREADY HAD TO POSTPONE OUR ORIGINAL FILMING DAY. I DON'T WANT TO MISS OUR SECOND CHANCE!!!"
Yesterday was meant to be the day that we filmed our very first Music Video for our song "L.O.V.E" but it was raining so hard that we couldn't film the outside parts.
"Okay, Okay. I'm up." I said groggily, still half asleep. We had gone to bed around 3 AM last night and I was already starting to regret it. Our stylist had set out our outfits the night before as not to make us super late for the MV filming. My outfit for the majority of the video was made up of a pair of white-washed ripped skinny jeans and a pair of fishnet stockings to go underneath, a cropped white hoodie with our group's logo on it and a pair of war boots. I was the only one out of all of the members that did not include high heels in their outfit and that was because our Seonsaeng spent many hours complaining to our manager about our dance practices.
"She can't even dance with normal sneakers on! What makes you think she will be able to dance in 6-inch stilettos?!"
As you can tell, I am Seonnaengs favorite member out of all 4 groups she choreographs for.
"Okay. On the count of three, start the dance from the end of the second chorus and move straight into Deborah and Soo Jin's bridge. Got that? Leo, cue the music. Martha, get the camera ready. Girls - get into position and be ready for the music. And remember to smile!"
Our manager was being more cheerful than usual but that was probably just from the stress of wanting to perfect our debut. We were only his second girl group and the first one was a big flop. He seemed to want to redeem himself with us. That was probably another reason that it took him 4 years to create the group and had to buy Bahar from YG entertainment, another producing company.
We moved into position and waited for the music to start.
"내가 느끼게 해줄거야, L.O.V.E"
The end of the chorus started playing right on cue. I had been practicing for hours on end for the past few days and was pretty confident in my dancing at this point. Bahar was yelling at me a lot less too, which was always a bonus. The beginning of the bridge to "L.O.V.E" started playing. I could hear the music breaking up a bit in the back, but thought nothing of it.
They're just going to put the audio on the background anyways. A little break up in the music means nothing if they're just going to mute it anyway.
The members and I continued dancing as if nothing had happened like we had been taught to do. The audio broke up once more.
I hope nothing seriously wrong...
I was really starting to worry. But nevermind that now. It was my time to shine. I move into the center and began the choreographed dance moves for my bridge in the song. That's when everything happened. It was so fast yet I saw it in slow motion.
The music coming from the speakers cutting out completely.
The worried looks on all the worker's faces.
The fear in our manager's eyes as the spotlight fell from its place directly above me.
I'm done for. This is it. Goodbye world
Bahar ran over and shoved me down with all her might and I crashed into the wall on the side. The last thing I remember is Bella and Soo Jin screaming at a lot of their lungs as Bahar tried to just out of the way of the falling spotlight.
