Thank you for your interest in my story, A Shapeshifter, Cyborg, & Wisp.

So glad you're here! 🤓

Background—I've been writing this story since I was 18 years old. I'm 33 now, and I've completed several drafts, all with different plotlines, and even various external catalysts, trying to get the story "just right;" but the characters and setting never seem to change.

So fifteen years later, embodying the characters of this novel feel like second nature to me. The setting—in all its many facets—is also part of my daily routine, giving me a space to visit when I'm showering, zoning out, or getting ready for bed.

—♦ Cast of Characters ♦—

Eleanora is a shapeshifter (genus) and fey (order). She wants acceptance.

Ben is a cyborg (genus) and eloche (order). He wants health.

Lilliputian is a will'o'wisp (genus) and incarnatia (order). He wants confidence.

Lutz is an echo fey (genus) and fey (order). He wants to be able to see.

Melidor is a human (genus) and mammal (order). He wants to solve a puzzle.

Rune is a cyborg (genus) and mammal (order). He wants vengeance.

Zinnia is a phoenix (genus) and incarnatia (order). She wants companionship.

Plans to Publish—I tried publishing one of the drafts I wrote in my early 20s, but it didn't go so well. A publisher at the San Diego Writing Conference told me, "Fantasy is read by men, and they want sex—they want things to explode!"

My manuscript didn't deliver much of that.

A couple things may explode—and there's definitely sexual tension—but those weren't the driving force for Eleanora's narrative. I write more for a sense of wonder than a do-or-die mission propelled by heart-pumping, boom-crash action.

Eventually I decided, just the joy of writing this story is enough.

So here I am, on Wattpad, sharing purely for the joy of it.

Of course, I'm a little giddy at the thought of publishing nontraditionally on Wattpad, where new readers may be able to love Eleanora, Ben, and Lilli as much as I love writing about them.

But how do I plan to pay the bills?

With sequels, of course!—surely you'll want to purchase an e-book of book two, after falling in love with book one.

If You'd Like to Help—You're welcome to simply read and enjoy A Shapeshifter, Cyborg, & Wisp, but if you'd like to help, your stars (⭐) and comments are enormously appreciated. And if you share this story with your friends, even better!
