"Here," said Gabriel as he handed Theodore a glass of water and an Advil. Theodore had finally stopped vomiting, and though his stomach was still upset, he was pretty sure he could keep it down.

Theodore gulped it down in one go, the water slightly helped soothe his sore throat, yet did not help getting rid of the acid taste still left in his mouth. The smell leaving his mouth wasn't so great either, and Theodore was afraid to even breathe in Gabriel's general direction. It didn't help that he was standing unnecessarily close.

Theodore carefully moved past him, placed the glass on the sink and grabbed his toothbrush and toothpaste. He glanced at Gabriel through the mirror. He'd sat down on the edge of the bathtub and seemed to have already been staring  at him. Theodore quickly looked down the moment they made eye contact and focussed completely on putting the toothpaste neatly on the brush.

He didn't hit the two-minute mark, but his breath smelled like mint now, and he wanted to leave because feeling Gabriel's eyes on him left him feeling uncomfortable. He struggled getting the toothbrush back in its holder in his hurry to leave, and Gabriel must have noticed.

"Are you alright, Theodore?"

Theodore turned around and gave him a deadpan look, "You're asking me as if I didn't just puke my guts out in front of you."

"I didn't mean physically."

Theodore was in no mood to talk about his mental state when he felt like crap physically, (or ever, frankly) especially not with Gabriel, the main cause of his inner turmoil and the reason why his heart felt like it wanted to escape through his chest just at the sight of him.

"I prefer to focus on one thing at the time, and right now my splitting headache is a little more pressing to me than my nonexistent need to talk about my feelings."

"Alright, fair enough. Just. When you do want to talk about, well... anything, I'm here to listen."

Theodore didn't deserve Gabriel's patience and care, and he had no idea how to respond to it with anything other than sarcasm.

"Could you please stop being sappy? Because I only just stopped vomiting and it makes me want to start again."

Gabriel ran a hand through his hair and let out a humorless chuckle, "You're such a little shit, Theodore."

He left him alone then, and Theodore feared he'd succeeded in pushing Gabriel away. Theodore wouldn't blame him, for he was a little shit, after all.

I'm sorry this update took me so long (and for the fact that it's short and  crappy) I have been rather busy (and I'm starting school next week, so it's only going to be worse I'm afraid) I am, believe it or not, dedicated to finishing this story (which may not look like it because it took me so long to update) but I was practically constantly thinking about how I wanted this chaper to go, I just couldn't really put it to paper, and I'm still not really happy with how it turned out,  but I wanted to post again after about two months of nothing (whoops)

Anyway, I hope you do enjoy , and please let me know your thoughts!

Not edited btw.
