Chapter 1: Lovers?

"You're kidding"

"No! I swear! He's right over there!" 

"Yeah Okay Chloe."

"Kat! I'm telling you! Orlando Bloom is right over there!"

"That's what you said about Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler and Cameron Diaz. I'm not falling for it."

"Okay whatever, I just thought you would wanna see him in a bathing suit, eating vanilla ice cream. You're favorite..."

"Where?!?" I exclaimed

"Haha! You fell for it again!"

"Ugh! I hate you!"

"You're so gullible!'

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am no-"

"Ladies, ladies. I know your talking about who loves me more. No need to worry, there's enough of me to go around!"

"Shut up Drake! We don't like you! You're a friend, that's all." I informed him.

Right now, we are at the pool. My best friend Chloe tricked me into thinking Orlando Bloom was behind me. I'm Katrina James. My hair is dark brown and straight. I'm about 5' 4" and I'm very gullible. I would never admit it but, I am.

"Come on, Kitty Kat!" My best friend Drake called after me.

That was one of the annoying things about having the name Katrina. I preferred to be called Kat but, my friend call me ridiculous names like, Kitty, Trina, NaNa, Katty, Rina, Katie, Kit-Kat and Nina. I don't even know where they get half of them.

Drake and Chloe dove into the 8 foot end of the pool. I just stood there on the side of pool with my arms crossed over my chest self consciously. I didn't think I was skinny. If anything, I thought I was fat. Of course everyone always told me I wasn't but, maybe they were just being nice to me. I got pulled out of my thoughts and into the freezing cold pool. Literally. Drake had pulled on my ankle sending my flying into the water.

"Drake! I'm going to kill you!" I screamed

Chloe and Drake were doubled over in laughter.

I swam over to drake with a sly smirk on my face. His expression changed from happy to true fear. I jumped on his shoulders and pushed his head under the water, dunking him. he struggled to get up at first but then stopped. I quickly jumped off him afraid I killed him. His body floated up and sat face down. Tears started to form in the brim of my eyes when drake jumped up and screamed in my face.

"BOO!"

I shrieked in fear and then playfully hit his arm.

"I hate you! I thought I killed you!"

"Hey, it's not my fault your gullible."

Drake's POV

She stood there, next to the pool with her arms crossed over her chest. Why did she think she was fat? It's obvious she's skinny and beautiful. I wish she would just realize she was skinny. I wish she would realize she was beautiful. I wish she would realize I'm in love with her.

I love to tease her and stuff but, I don't know how to tell her I'm in love with her. I'll tell her tomorrow. I focused my attention back to Kat. She was still standing there, arms crossed over her salmon polka-dotted bikini. Without thinking I pulled her ankle in the water and her whole body came flying in too.

I couldn't stop laughing. It was funny! Chloe was next to me laughing like there was no tomorrow. Kat came up out of the water looking...Happy? No, scary. Like she was about to do something evil. Just then she jumped on my back and dunked me under water. She held me under for a good three seconds. At first I struggled but, I thought of a great plan.

She finally got off my back and I let my body float up the surface face down. Just when I thought I couldn't breathe any more I jumped up and screamed.

"BOO!"

She screamed bloody murder.

"I hate you! I thought I killed you!"

"Hey, It's not my fault your gullible" I shot back.

She hates me? She really hates me? Well, I'm going to have to make her love me.

Chloe's POV

That was a cruel and awful joke. But, it was kinda funny. He's so funny. And cute, and perfect. Why couldn't he see I liked him?
