"I've always loved you."
I looked in front of me, shocked. How the hell did I not see this coming? The popcorn in my hand stopped midway in the air before it could've reached my mouth.
"What the hell?" I whispered.
I heard Chicken mewl beside me.
"Shut up, Chicks. I just got the worst shock ever." I muttered.
How would you feel if your worst enemy just said those words to you who also happened to be extremely hot and was almost dead?
It was most definitely not happening to me. It was just the movie I picked out for the big night. The big night when everybody else was enjoying the homecoming while I was here, at my house. It's not like it was the prom anyways.
I watched as the hot guy fell on the ground, dead.
"How could he die? Isn't this supposed to be a happy movie?" I asked myself.
I leaned my head back on the couch with a frown as the credits rolled on the screen. I was about to pick another, probably a happy movie, but got interrupted when my phone started ringing.
"Hello?" I answered.
The other end was silent except the sound of music and cheers in the background.
"Kyle!" I heard a voice at last.
Only one person could call me by that freakingly disgusting name.
"What the hell, Alex? I thought we agreed that you wouldn't call me by that name again." I whined, closing my eyes.
When I started making him irritated by calling him Allie, he made one for me too. It made me sound like a boy.
"Stop whining, Kyle. You're bursting my ears." He shouted.
I rolled my eyes. The mere fact that he was calling me by that name in between a party filled with numerous people, was not welcomed.
"Why did you call? Aren't you enjoying the homecoming?" I asked curiously.
Alex had already asked out a girl to accompany him even before I got to know about the homecoming. Those were the benefits of being in football. He got to have almost every girl while I sat here cursing my poor life.
