Y/n's POV

"Um...Hi." I awkwardly wave to the girl.
She only growls at me.
"Master would never replace me with a human that looks like you!" She snaps.
I look down to see my clothes are all muddy and a bit torn; probably from climbing up to the sk-surface.
"Your...master isn't replacing you." I tell her.
She cocks her head for he side.
"I'm just here until..." I trail off.
"My...masters get back." I reluctantly say.
Her confused and defensive expression turns into a smile.
"So you're a friend!" She starts to run around me.
"I've never really had a friend before!"
She stops right in front of me and pokes her finger through a hole in my shirt, touching my stomach.
"Master says that if he ever got another human, it would be to replace me." Her frown returns.
She sits on the floor and I hesitantly join her.
"I'm Y/n." I finally introduce myself.
"Master named me Marzia."
I flash her a smile.
"Marzia is a beautiful name!"
The brown haired girl gives me a gigantic, bone crushing, hug.
"Thanks!" She cheers.
I chuckle.

For some reason I get the feeling I need to protect this innocent potato.

"Wanna see-"
The happy-go-lucky girl gets cut off by the huge wooden doors being pushed open.
In walks Dark and Anti.
Anti looks happy to see me and Dark looks like he could care less.
"Y/n!" Dark yells my name.
"Yes?" I ask, hiding all of my anger.
"Let's go."
I nod and wave to Marzia.
Getting up off the floor, I walk over and carefully take hold of Anti's hand.
"Hold your breath."
I do so as green smoke surrounds us and the room with Marzia in it disappears.

I wait a few moments before opening my eyes.
We're back in the house I awoke in.
"Well-"
Anti's sentence gets cut short by a weird beeping sound.
He pulls something out of his pocket and groans.
"Watch her. I have another job."
Anti then leaves in a cloud of green smoke.
I turn to Dark and give him a warm smile.

I should at least be nice to him.
Besides, he helped me out and he is kinda cute.

He chuckles as he enters what looks like...what's it called again?....a kitchen! He walks into the kitchen.
"What's so funny?" I ask, following him.
"I can read your mind ya' know."
My face heats up.
He only chuckles again.
"But I would have used the word 'dashing'."
My face only feels even hotter.
I blink and then he's standing right in front of me.
So close that I have to slightly look up to see his face.
I gulp.
His grayish hand goes to my left cheek and caresses it.
Dark's hand is cold to the touch.
I can feel the fear well up inside of me.

What's going on?!

His thumb gently slides down to my lips and lightly brushes over them.
He shivers as my hot breath comes into contact with his skin.
Dark leans in closer.
I stare directly into his black eyes.
They're like pools of never ending tar; fall in and you'll never be getting out.
They just suck you in even further.
Now his face is so close to mine that I feel his nose brush against mine.

He must have leaned down a bit and I never even noticed.

I stand there, still frozen.
He leans in even closer so I close my eyes and wait for our lips to meet.
I don't know why, but something tells me that I need him; a man I just met.
It feels like I've known him my whole life and then some.
Almost like we've connected lips and so much more in other lives.
...
But his lips never touch mine.
I open my eyes just in time to see him aggressively pull his hand from my face and step away.

What just happened?

I ask myself.
I honestly don't know what even cane over me, and by the look in his eyes he doesn't know either.
"Anti picked this out for you."
Dark tosses something at me and I manage to catch it before it smacks me in the face.
It's a choker.
My face lights up.
"I know what this is!" I cheer as I finally recognize something.
"Of course you do." He scoffs.
"All humans have to wear them."
I raise an eyebrow.
"What are you talking about? In the Systems I was the only one to wear one. My mom broke it though for some reason."
Dark sends me a confused glare.
Looking back down at it, I hold the tag to my face to see something written on it.
"What does it say?" I ask.
Dark only looks even more confused.
"That's a word that even a human should know." He says.
I stay silent as I stare at the weird symbol.
"Yarn."
My head snaps upward.
"Yarn?" I ask.
He nods.
"That is what I said, is it not?"
I smile and put it on.
"My best friend use to call my Yarny." I tell him.
Dark just rolls his eyes.
"Just some advice. If someone comes over, act like how a human should. I don't know what your last owner let you get away with, but it won't fly in this city."
He then turns away from me and leaves the kitchen.

This place is super odd.
Are owners parents?
