"Hey Ray," Cole greeted me kissing my cheek. Instead of hugging him and saying hey back I got to the point. "Cole...I need to talk to you about something important."

His face expression dropped. "Whats wrong?"

"Sit down first." We sat at the edge of the bridge watching the sunsetting down. It was our usual romantic scenery place we met at, but today was end of that.

"How do I put this?" I sigh. "Raven, what are you implying?"

"I'm breaking...Im breaking up with you." I gulped the lump in my throat. Choosing not to cry over another break up with.

He sighed like he predicted it. "Its because of Alex isn't it?"i tried to deny it. "N-no its cause..." Terrible job at lying Raven.

"Don't lie to me. I can see the way he looks at you."

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to break your heart." I could tell he really did like you. "Deep down, I knew it wouldn't work out. You two were just meant to be. Fate, some people would say."

"Fate is not real. But if you thought this, why did you lead yourself on?" I questioned.

"Because Raven, when you really like someone, you'd ignore anything to be with them." I let out a tear, finally realizing how good of a guy he was, and what I was losing.

"You're a great guy, Cole, someday you'll find someone who'll treat you the same way," I reassured him.

"I hope we can still be friends. You were a fun friend to be around," he said. I nodded. "Me too."

Saying goodbye is harder than I thought it would be.

Just cause I only dated him for a while, doesn't mean it didn't feel magical. He was the best boyfriend you could ask for.

But I can't hold on to him anymore...

"Something tells me this friendship will last." He assured. I chuckled at the pattern of our relationships. "Yes it will."

"Don't you have a lover to go persuade?"

I wiped my dry tears and nodded. "I suppose." We got up wiping the dirt pff my lap. "I guess this is goodbye." I said.

"Don't be so dramatic. You've always had a way for words." I laughed, and shared one last embrace with him. "Tell me what happens between you two."

"Course friend, you're my number one." I walked back to Alex's house, needing time to think, and figure out what to say.

When I reached the big house, I've gotten all too familiar with, I took a deep breath and walked inside the house.

"Alex! Hello? Are you there?" I called out. No answer.

He probably just couldn't hear me in this big house. I walked up the stairs heading toward his room.

I stopped short when I heard more than one person inside. "Oh Alex. Playing hard to get are we?"What the fuck?! I peeked through the open crack inside the door.

There I saw this redhead sliding her hands through his shirt. He wasn't stopping her. She started to unzip her dress and I could hear silence already knowing whats happening.

I couldn't watch this any longer. I backed away from the door, not realizing my clumsy ass tripped on the carpet. I fell flat on my bum.

"Crap!"

"Raven? Is that you?!" I heard Alex rush and push past the other girl, but before he could, I ran down the stairs.

It was too late, I already blew my cover. There was now trying to be discreet, so I ran out the house trying to gather my thoughts together.

Seems like Zayn was wrong, he has been sleeping around. Just in private, while giving me mixed signals. I know I wasn't exactly open too him with either, but I broke up with a genuine guy, so I can be with him. Little did I know he wasn't even affected by it.

I could hear him calling me out from the door, but I was already too far for him too catch up.

I finally stopped to catch my breath in the woods. I slid down a tree trunk, so rest.

My phone rang, signaling Alex was calling me. "Raven, please come back. Let me explain."

"You don't owe anything to me. We're not dating. I don't have a right to be jealous."

I could feel the cycle replaying again, except this time, we switched roles.

"No Raven, I won't let this happen again. I wont let you slip out of my hand again-"

"Just leave me alone Alex. I need time to think." And just when I was about to end he said something.

"Think? There's nothing to think about. Our feelings are mutual, and you won't let me say something in my defense!"

"Please Alex, I can't do this over the phone," I pleaded in exhaustion. Physically and emotionally.

"Fine! Have it your way." He snapped ending on the call.

My life has taken a turn. I went from the loner outcast, to the players roommate.

And I know It'll only get worse...
