"(Y/N)!" Michael called as you sat backstage, watching him rehearse. His wide smile made you giggle shyly as you shook your head. "Come out here!" he laughed.
You waved him off with a blush. "No! I'm fine where I am!" you bit your lip. Michael rolled his eyes playfully as he ran up to you.
When he came closer to you, you reached into your handbag and pulled out a small face towel, using it to wipe the sweat along Michael's forehead. Once you were done, you kissed his cheek.
"Oh, you smell so good," he shook his head. "I love that perfume you're using," he grinned. "That's how I can recognize you instantly," he winked.
You burst out laughing, making Michael do the same. It was wonderful how the two of you could be so silly sometimes.
"I'll only be an hour more," he whispered, kissing your lips before running back onto the stage. A sigh escaped your lips as Frank walked over and sat next to you.
"When are you going to tell him?" Frank raised an eyebrow at you - making you look at the floor. "(Y/N), you've got to tell him. He deserves to know,"
"I know," you shook your head. "I just...I need time," you fiddled with your fingers. "Besides, it's not even something important,"
"He has a right to know. Communication is vital in a marriage," Frank kept his eyes on you. "No matter how small the matter may seem,"
You sat there, contemplating for a moment before you made your decision.
"Fine, I'll tell him after rehearsals,"
Once rehearsals were over, you followed Michael to his dressing room - where you shut the door and turned around to face him. He had a smile on his face, but when he saw your teary eyes - he frowned deeply.
"Hey," he took a step toward you. "What's wrong?"
You inhaled deeply and shook your head, not wanting to bother him with such a tedious matter. In your mind, it wasn't important enough for him to know.
"(Y/N), baby, come on - tell me what's wrong," he took your hands in his.
You blinked twice before sniffling. Letting out a sigh, you cleared your throat.
"I....I've been doing it again," you broke into sobs.
Michael's eyes widened as he took your arm gently, rolling up the long sleeves that you had been wearing in order to hide the scars. He inhaled sharply when he saw the wounds. You really didn't mean it, you wished that things were easier - but they weren't.
"What happened?" he kissed your hand before pulling you closer to him. "Hm?"
"I...I just...things are pretty tough for me right now," you shook my head. "I'm so sorry,"
"Hey," he whispered. "Don't be sorry. No one's perfect, (Y/N) - please don't beat yourself up about this," he kissed your cheek before clearing his throat. "But I need you to promise me something,"
"Never do this again," he looked into your eyes. You took a moment before nodding. You were determined to keep your promise.
"I love you," he smiled. "More than you'll ever know,"
