I nodded, shrugging off the heavy backpack. I was the first to put my foot on the first step. It creaked at the weight. I mentally winced. They know someone is here now. Two more steps. Instead of just walking them, I jumped up onto the porch. It made a louder noise, but not as much as it would if I had walked up.

I turned around to see Eric telling Peter what to do. They're going to check the place behind and the sides. They're going to meet me inside. I could hear that much from Eric's low voice. I turned back around to look at the wooden door. Slowly, trying to make my weight lighter, I tip-toed closer to the door.

I put my hand on the knob, watching from the corner of my left eye to see Eric moving to the side. Must mean that Peter is on the right. With my hand on the knob, I steadily turned to the left, easing the door open. I pushed the door the rest of the away open, in case someone would jump out on the side and catch me off guard.

No one. With one step at a time, I made my way inside the cabin. I looked around the main area, it seemed pretty clean, ignoring the small bugs, casual fallen leaves, and old furniture. Check. After checking out the main area first, I walked straight, ignoring the stairs. I walked into the kitchen to see the oven open, some cabinets open, and the chairs messed up.

Someone must've been here before us and cleaned this place out.

* RUSS~! RUSS~! *

Quickly, I turned around on my heel, only to be pinned against the table with my throat bounded by a knife.

"So, you must be the special (Y/N)." The woman said, threatening the knife closer to my throat.

I just added the glare into my good eye.

"Don't make a sound, don't move. Just come with me willingly."

I smirked under my mask, raising my hands in the air as a surrender. What is up with Factionless people wanting me?

"Easier than I thought." She said, turning me around.

With one of her hands, she put both my hands back down on the table. She put her free hand on my left shoulder, bringing it down to my feet. Patting me down. She's smart. Ex-Erudite, maybe? No, she's got combat skills. She seems friendly, also. Is she?

"Divergent?"

"Is that any of your busy?"

"Yeah, it is."

"Why were you quiet the first moment of your attack?" She asked, taking notes.

Ex-Erudite.

"Any of your business?"

"Yes. I am kidnapping you."

"No, you aren't. Get away from her." A deep voice growled behind us.

Eric.

"How many of you are out there?" She asked, calculating her fighting chances.
