Peter Vs. Tris

* The Pit *

I pushed the door opened to find Eric, Four, and all of the initiates.

"Glad you could finally join us, (Y/N)." Eric said, sarcastically.

I flipped him off, letting the door behind me shut on it's own. I got beside Four, rubbing my eye.

"Where were you?" Eric asked, directing the attention to me.

I flipped him off once again. I felt something warm wrap around my middle finger. I stopped rubbing my eye, glaring at him.

"Eric let go of her." Four said, pushing his arm away.

"Anyway, today, we're going to be fighting, once again." Four snapped them from watching us.

"Fuck you." I muttered towards Eric so no one could hear me.

"Only if you ask nicely." He muttered back.

"First up, Peter and Tris." Eric said, acting like he didn't just say that.

I jumped off of the mat, looking at Four. He grabbed Tris's arm, whispering something in her ear. She nodded, getting on the pad. Once both of them were on the pad, Peter started with the insults. It took a lot and Four to hold me back to not start a fight with him. What is his problem with Abnegation?

"You got this, Tris!" Christina cheered her friend on.

Two minutes later, Tris was on the floor with a bleeding nose. I shrugged off Four's grip on me. I walked over to the mat, pushing Peter off of her. I grabbed her arm, pulling her up. I dragged her to the back of the room where no one could see us.

"Where is she going with my fighter?" Eric growled, getting irked by me more.

I flipped him off when his head was turned.

"What is it, (Y/N)?" She asked, wiping the blood off of her nose.

"Fight." I said.

She looked a bit surprised that I had spoken to her for the first time.

"I'm trying, he's just.. too big." She sighed.

I could tell tears were about to form in her eyes.

"Enough, stop crying. It's pointless, Tris. Get your ass up and fight or you're going to end up like me." I, hesitantly, took off my mask.

I looked down at the ground while she stared at the scarred up skin and cut eye.

"What.. What happened to you?"

"I let someone that I thought would never hurt me inside my mind. I trusted him. He made me weaker and weaker without me even noticing."

"What are you telling me?"

"You aren't weak, he's weak. He's all a facade that he knows you'll fall for. He's all talk." I simplified for her, putting my mask back on.

"He's useless to Dauntless. You aren't, though. You're special." I encouraged.

"Now, get your ass up and go fight this asshole before I become Factionless for doing it myself."

"Thank you, (Y/N)." She said.

I nodded, rushing her off to the pad. I got beside Eric.

"What did you say to her?"

"Not any of your concern."
