Kayla's POV I was training with Hodge. "Good Kayla. Make sure you keep your form sharp and straight. Now try and hitting me again." I got him on my first few hits and I backed up activated my agility rune when he came after me I flipped and landed in front of Jace and I smirked and turned and flipped Hodge onto his back.
"Great job Kayla, that enough for today." Hodge left the training room and Jace walked in and hugged me. "Tomorrow's your birthday." I remembered Destiny and what Valentine did and I started to tear up but I turned so Jace couldn't see.
He came around and pulled me in and I let him. He knows how much my sister means to me. "Come on. Let's go to your room and get you changed. I want to take you somewhere." I nodded and we went to my room.
Jace's POV I told Kayla I'll meet her back at her room I had to get her gift from my room. Ever since Kayla came here we did something special together the day before her birthday. This year Kayla is turning 14. We kind of made it a tradition between the two of us. I got to my room and grabbed the ring I had made for her and put it on a chain and put it back in the box and grabbed my jacket and went back to Kayla's room.

"I didn't know what we were doing this year." "Kayla it's fine. You look beautiful." She smiles. "So Blondie where are you taking me this year?" She asked me. "Well Little Bug I planned a romantic dinner for 2 that I have set up on the roof.

Kayla's POV I love it when Jace and I spend the day before my birthday together. He had a beautiful dinner set up and I know that Maryse made the food for us. We ate dinner talked and I heard our song playing and he got up and held out his hand.
"May I have the dance Little Bug." I smiled and nodded. I took his hand. We walked away from the table and I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wraps his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. I looked into his eyes and smiled. "You cold Little Bug?" "A little." He took his jacket off and I put it on and we walked to the edge of the roof and looked over the city.
