The one thing that I absolutely felt when Mason apologized to me. Honestly, I didn't expect him to. I just thought that that fight? Argument? Whatever it is that you call what happened would be the end of our... Friendship? Or partnership? I don't know. But I'm glad things didn't end between us.
"I decided to throw my annual Halloween Party his coming Saturday aand I want to see each and every one of you there." Jessica announced as she approached us. She's still wearing her cheerleading uniform. So this is the big announcement she can't tell us over the phone and the reason that she had us all meet up here at the bleachers after class.
"I won, pay up." Erica sweetly said as she laid her palm out to Josh. I am sitting at a higher place than them so I can see and hear everything that's going on with Andy beside me.
"Damn! I was hoping you'd announce something different. " Josh exclaimed.
"Like what?" Jessica asked.
"I don't know... you're pregnant or something?" Josh awkwardly said. Jessica gasped dramatically as she puts a hand on her chest. I laughed as Tyler flipped him off.
"Keep your violent reactions to yourselves guys, geez." He raised both of his hands.
"Did we miss the announcement?" James asked. He and Mason were both panting, sweaty and wearing their football uniform as they reached us. As you might've guessed, they're fresh from practice.
"I'm going to throw the Halloween Party this Saturday." Jessica replied to him.
"Told you." Mason said.
"Any questions?" She asked. "Anything...? Nothing? Well then, this meeting is adjourned." Jessica declared theatrically and walked away with Tyler.
I stood up from where I'm sitting and made my way down.
"Where are you going?" Mason took a hold of my arm.
"How do you intend to do that?" He quirks a brow up, a smug expression plastered across his face.
"Catch a ride with Andy."
"No need. We've already made up; therefore, it's back to our routine."
"Ok." I shrugged.
"But we're going to make a stop first." he grinned.
I thought the stop that he mentioned was at the mall or something but turns out, he was talking about him taking a shower first. So here I am, outside the showering room, playing Candy Crush at my phone as I wait patiently for Mason to finish up.
"You, me, and a scary costume this Saturday. What do you say?" he asked as he walked towards me all clean and freshened up.
"Sounds great. But... I already said yes to James a few minutes ago so..." I found myself regretting the decision I made. How I wish I would've waited a few more minutes before I gave him my answer. James is cool but I think I would've more fun with Mason.
"Oh... Um... Of course! I just... I thought it would be nice to ask you to come with me to that party. You know... knowing that you don't have a car and it's your first time coming to that party." He chuckled nervously. "That party gey crazier evey year." He rambled. "Anyway, are you hungry?" I nod. "Good. Because I am too. Let's go get something to eat."
We decided to satisfy our appetites at Taco Bell's. There are only two of us at the table but the food we ordered could feed 5 mouths, that's how hungry we are, well, mostly Mason.
"What or who would you dress up as this coming Saturday?" he took a bite out of his burrito.
"It's a surprise." I replied. I still have no idea what my costume would.
"Well I'm going as a werewolf."
"Really?" I chuckled. I could just imagine him.
"Yeah! I'd have fur on my face and claws just like Scott's." That caught my attention.
"You watch Teen Wolf?" I asked. I can feel myself getting all giddy at this new information.
"Of course! Best show ever!" he exclaimed.
"You watch Teen Wolf." I stated.
"What's so shocking about that?"
"You said you don't watch television." I remember it clearly when he told me that.
"I said, I don't watch television that much, there's a difference. Teen Wolf is one of the shows that I watch on TV. The other one is The Vampire Diaries."
"Are you kidding? That's my favorite shows!" I exclaimed.
"Guess we found another few things in common then." he shrugged.
"Delena or Stelena?" If he happens to be against the team I am, there would be a serious debate that's about to happen.
"Delena, no questions asked. You?" he looked at me intently.
"Delena all the way." I smiled proudly. "For a second I thought we were going to have a debate."
"It never crossed my mind that you'd watch a show like that, I mean... You're... You."
"I'm hoping that's a good thing." he chuckled.
"It is." I replied. He stared at me for a moment like he's thinking something deep. I'm starting to get creep out when he opened his mouth and asked.
"Have you ever eaten a booger?"
"What kind of question is that?" Amusement evident in my voice.
"Just curious." he shrugged. "Besides, this is the whole point of our project in Health; getting to know each other."
"Have you?" I raised a brow.
"I asked you first."
"No." I answered. He narrowed his eyes at me.
"Even as a kid?"
"No! Ew, that's disgusting! I would never!" I laughed.
He joined my laughter. "Me too."
Being with Mason is a natural thing for me now. Even if I hate to admit it, I kind of missed him during our war. Not just his personality but also the time we spend together.
I'm in a very dangerous place now, because I think, no, I know that whatever it is that I'm feeling for him is starting to get much more deeper. I feel like I'm in a quick sand, that the harder I try to fight it, the more I'm sinking deeper and the worst part is? I don't know if he feels the same way. I'm not one to assume.
At this point, all I know is that I'm in trouble.
I'm in big trouble.
