Brenda's POV.

"Hi! What would you like to order today?" I asked the customer.

It was a day like any other, a place teeming with countless celebrities and officials.

Oh, and by celebrities, I meant people who had established powerful factions.

They all wore fancy suits and seductive dresses that were worth millions.

But then again, what was currency worth anymore.

However, just minutes into my shift, I spot a bunch of people crowding around.

"Amy, what's going on?" I asked quietly.

Amy stares and frowns,"A celebrity? I don't think we have any notable figures here?"

The crowd moves apart just enough and I spot a familiar face.

That guy that rejected me.

"It's him." I whispered.

Amy gasped,"Oh my god! Is he some kind of celebrity?"

Then, a calm female voice sounds.

"Everyone, I'd like to thank you all for being here but I am not here on official business. I am here on a private occasion and business is the last thing on my
mind. If you would like to discuss, please set up a meeting like the representatives for China, Russia, America and the rest have. Thank you."

The crowd persists for a while more before dispersing and I finally see the person.

The entire restaurant went noticeably quieter.

Nearly everyone stopped talking and moving.

My eyes were about to pop out at who that guy was holding hands with.

My idol.

The person regarded as at the forefront of humanity.

The people that had captured snippets of her power just hours prior had spread the video and of course, Amy had shown it to me.

Alexis Niko.

She...Has a boyfriend?

And it's that insufferable guy?

They sit down at a table for two and talk.

Amy immediately rushes in and takes their order before anyone else can react.

She comes back moments later to my side,"Holy sweet mother of Jesus they're dating. Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god! He was totally waiting for her!" She squealed.

I felt a little jealous.

A little.

Alexis' POV.

Eyes were on me but I ignored them.

I focused only on one pair of eyes that stood out from the rest.

"You're quite the celebrity, aren't you?"

"Even during an apocalypse, humans can still find the time to gossip." I answered with a smile.

"Heh. Let's ignore them. I didn't come back to be famous." Antonio chuckled,"How bout we play a game?"

I raise a brow,"What...Kinda game."

"We'll ask each other three questions about each other and the loser will have to follow one command of the other person."

"That's...A lot of power."
