A/N: *Cue drum roll* and this is the chapter you have all been waiting for! Drink your fill in because it will be a few chapters before we get a peak inside his mind again (say like Chapter 10). As we have shifted away from the set up of the plot, yes everything that you guys found boring or annoying has a purpose, we will begin to see where our mysterious man in green has been. Not much else to say other than I'm pleased with the direction this story is taking as I am currently writing Chapter 11; I think you all will like it. As always, enjoy a look into our miscievious man's mind!

The God’s teeth grit together so tight he could taste a bit of crimson from where he chewed on his tongue. His master had asked him that question that made his blood boil each time they passed the cruel man’s lips; to kill the Lady Sigyn.
“Will this be a problem trickster? Did the memories of her change your loyalties?” His fingers came to hold Loki’s chin between him, his breath upon the God’s face in a whisper. “Or will I need to slit her throat myself?”
“No.” Loki’s eyes looked away and pulled from his master’s grip.
“Then let us continue once again.” His Master closed his eyes and raised his hands in the air out towards the kneeling Loki and they began again.
Images of the palace, of his old life, of her. They flashed faster than before, reminding him just how much of a monster he was, how much she couldn’t love him. They weren’t meant to be together. She was to join her putrid fiancé in death, and Loki would grant it to her.
"You will not hesitate in giving it to her.”
Those were the words his master had uttered minutes ago before one of his flashback sessions. As the love for Sigyn grew cold and his hatred for her grew, the bitter words were easier to swallow. It was even easier for him to think and say her name. Before, when he had first come to the Master to pledge himself to do his bidding as a ploy to protect the maiden, it had been hard to put up a front and hide his feelings for Sigyn.
Now, it was easier because he hardly cared for that woman anymore. After watching her for six months fall for Theoric, the man he considered once competition for her hand, he had been given the news that the Crimson Hawk had been run through by a servant of the Master. That servant now laid dead in the woods with an unmarked grave, shortly to be joined by Alinin, as he had betrayed the Master by divulging information that was not his to share to the warrior, Fandral.
He hadn’t known what to feel when the Master had informed Loki of Sir Theoric’s death. He knew that he should be elated that Sigyn was now free from that arrogant warrior’s grasp, but to see the pain upon her face and to see her empty and without joy tore him in two; this was not what he wanted. Her name tasted bitter in his mouth, but it was also sweet and full of love. No matter what the Master did to him, perhaps he would always love her. He never wanted her to be in pain; perhaps death was the answer to end her suffering.
But that did not mean he wished to be the one to end her suffering. He wished to be no part of it. The thought that he would be the last one to see the color fill her cheeks or the sparkle in her eyes made him shudder and shy away from his reflection. His horned helmet felt weighty upon his head, as if the thoughts he wished to forget were trapped within the metal and made it feel heavier than it really was.
They were all pawns. Loki could see now why the people of Earth never wanted to be under his rule. Being a pawn, something he had been before, was rudely presented again in the form of being under the Master. It was true, he wasn’t given a job and killed shortly afterwards as many were, but he would be disregarded once he proved to be useless to the Master.
