Justin Russo: Christmas with the Russos

Suparna's POV:

Since my family made an impromptu trip to Europe while I had finals, I was left home alone for winter break. I love when they do that. My best friend, Justin Russo, invited me over for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Right now, I'm on my way, walking down the icy roads of New York, with a bag of presents in my hand. I didn't bundle up enough, thinking it wouldn't be that cold. I finally reached the sub station, knocking on the door.

"We're not open!" A voice yelled out from inside.

"It's me, Suparna!" I yelled, hoping the wind didn't drown my voice. I heard the door unlock, and a hand pulled me inside. It was Mrs. Russo, or Theresa, the mother of the Russo family.

"Suparna, what are you doing out there? I could have sent Justin to pick you up. It's freezing out there." She wrapped her arms around me as a way to warm me up.

"I'm fine, Mrs. Russo, really. Sorry for intruding on your family's holiday, but Justin said I could come over since my family left to Europe." She pulled me up the stairs, taking ahold of the bag.

"Suparna, that's not a problem at all. And call me Theresa. You are family, and you're always welcome over. You're like a second daughter to me." She hugged me then handed me a pair of Justin's sweatpants and his sweatshirt. "Now these may be a little big, but they'll be comfy for the cold weather. Now, you go change, and I'll make an extra cup of hot cocoa and bring some blankets." I nodded my head and went upstairs to the bathroom. After changing and dumping my dirty clothes into the laundry, I headed downstairs to see that the rest of the family was there.

"Hey, Suparna! Come over here. We're just drinking some cocoa." I rushed over, smiling at Mr. Russo. Theresa and Jerry were basically my parents seeing as my own neglected me. I sat down on the ground in between Justin and Alex. She purposefully pushed me towards Justin so I was practically leaning against him. He didn't take notice as he wrapped his blanket and arm around my shoulder. I cuddled into the softness of the blanket as I leaned my head on his shoulder. Alex and Theresa were currently fangirling over the two of us. I blushed and lowered my head, looking at the ground.

"Suparna, do you want to grab the marshmallows from the kitchen?" Alex asked me. I nodded my head, getting up and leaving the warmth of the blanket.

"Justin, could you grab the cinnamon from the cupboard?" As I was walking back, the bag in my hand, I bumped into Justin. I looked up at him as he was taller, I took notice of the mistletoe. This was a set up. Confirming my thought, Theresa and Alex had their cameras ready to take pictures. Justin also took notice of the mistletoe.

"Well, I guess we have to follow tradition." I nodded my head, a little nervous. What if he hates me? What if he laughs? What if he rejects me? These thoughts filled my head as a pair of lips met mine. Oh my god, my best friend, Justin Russo, is kissing me on the lips. He pulled me closer as I wrapped my arms around his neck and his around my waist. We were about to continue when we heard a click and saw a flash of light. We turned around to see Theresa and Alex looking at the picture they just took.

"Really, guys? They're trying to have a moment." Wow. For once, Max was being the sensible one.

"Fine, you guys have two minutes before we come in." Justin and I nodded our heads. They finally shuffled out.

"So, I guess I should tell you. I've liked you for a while now. And I want you to be my girlfriend. But it's fine if you don't like me. We can still be best—" This time I cut him off. I brought my lips to his in a slow but passionate kiss. We heard giggling and squealing, but we didn't let it stop us. Finally, we pulled apart and smiled at each other.

"I like you, too, Justin. But let's take things slow." He nodded his head.

"Alright. Suparna, will you be my girlfriend?" I smiled and blushed, nodding my head. I gave his cheek a peck and grabbed his hand.

"Let's go watch all of the Home Alone movies." He nodded his head excitingly, and we walked to the family room.

"Hey, guys. Let's watch the movie." Jerry put in the DVD. Justin and I claimed the couch. He laid down on his back while I laid on top of him. He wrapped his arms around me, enveloping me in warmth. Theresa wrapped a blanket around us, giving us a hug in the process. And Alex took another picture.

"We are so going to get these framed." We all laughed, enjoying each other's company.
